I wonder if we'll get a teaser trailer on the DMC DVD release.

I expect (this is purely a guess) that we'll get the trailer for this in theaters with Deja Vu, Touchstone and Jerry Bruckheimer's next film. It opens November 22, so we might get the trailer online next weekend.

You just know the name will change or the plot will be fully revealed by January when the teaser debuts (estimated)

Those are awesome! I really cannot wait for this film! I hope we get some sort of sneak peek at AWE on the DMC DVD (which I will be getting from Wal-Mart in approximately 16 hours

).
However, I'm not sure that I like having Barbossa back from the dead. I wonder how that whole thing is going to work out...I really hope it doesn't feel too forced...

There is no trailer on the DMC DVD. I work at a video rental place and we got our shipments in last week. It just has the same old promos.

On those pictures Jacks outfit on the second looks rather Asian. Mabey at worlds end will be Asia? perhaps China or Indonesia? They had there fair share of Pirates.

It's already kown that Chow Yung Fat (sp?) will be in this film. I'm guessing he's the head of an asian band of pirates.
Maybe Jack and Liz have to disguise themselves to save Will...

Clearly you've never been to Singapore.

I'm almost posotive that second pic is fake. If not, it sure looks like it.

Well, imdb lists these for his name:
Chow Anderson / Amon Chow / Yun Fat Chow / Chow Yuen Fat / Chow Yun Fat / Chow Yun-Fat
I'm partial to Chow Anderson, it's got that anglicized feel to it, but at the same time, still sounds cool.
And in related celebrities-with-difficult-to-say-names, I remember reading somewhere that Ioan Gruffudd (Yo-ahn Griffith) wants to keep his, since the world eventually learned how to say "Schwarzenegger"

If you are talking about the pictures MickeyMousePal gave links to, after clicking on the second link, take a look just below it at the numbers from 1 to 6. Give them some clicks, and they should show you that the picture isn't fake, because there are many more pictures of him in the same outfit!

True, but I was more refering to just that one picture. His head really looks like it was just pasted on to the body.

From Jan/Feb 2007 issue of Premiere and alongside of a picture of Barbossa, Lizzie (in Asian pirate garb), and Jack, there is given a short glimpse of AWE:
This third installment finds the resurrected Barbossa journeying with Tia Dalma, Will, and Elizabeth to rescue Jack, last seen in the clutches of the squidlike Kraken. While Davy Jones and his ghost ship wreak havoc at the behest of the East India Trading Co., Barbossa's crew confronts the Chinese buccaneer Sao Feng and unites the pirates in battle against the corporate enemy and its allies. And, yes, Keith Richards will appear as Jack's dad. "We're filming in this enormous hangar," says producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who is already formulating plans for number four. "The ceiling is filled with water, because there's a big storm during the movie." Adds Naomie Harris (Tia Dalma), "The ship actually turns over. It's kind of scary!"
Barbossa is a captain again? Chinese pirates in the Caribbean? Jones working for EITC? A huge storm? A fourth one??

It's a line from the first film, after Jack tears off Elizabeth's corset and the guard stands in awe that he knew how to do it so easily.
Mullroy: Never would've thought of that.
Jack: Clearly you've never been to Singapore.

I knew that they would never be able to let the series lie with just three movies. When they have a series that is pulling in several "billion" dollars per movie why would they? I just hope that the quality can be sustained. As long as the quality is there then I hope that they continue doing them. I imagine the series would probably continue without Jack Sparrow though. Probably be Blackbeard or some other famous pirate.

Well you can thank the Disney Marketing team for OD'ing on the number of movies of POTC, they'll milk anything and everything if it means money for them. They should be careful because the main actors could get tired of having to repise their roles, I heard that Harrison Ford wanted Lucas to kill off Han Solo because he didn't want to play him again, or didn't like the character. (I don't know if thats true or not though). Anyways, what would the plot be in the next movie? Maybe Jack Sparrow will be somehow connected to the new villain AGAIN thats getting rather blah having Jack be somehow connected to the villain in each film, or having bargained with them etc. Anyways this "next movie" should have a duo of villains or something like Black Beard and Red Beard

they could even call it Pirates of The Caribbean: Attack of The Beards or At Beards End

Ok I"m done now, I"m going to go get rid of this sugar rush now...
