Oh Bonkers definitively needs a comeback! And in hand-drawn, not only in CGI.
I wouldn't mind a Roger Rabbit comeback either.

God, I miss Roger Rabbit when he used to be popular.

But at least I saw Roger Rabbit at Disneyland not too long ago.

Maybe they should bring back Roger in the Mickey shorts and maybe in Kingdom Hearts 3

That's what always hope for each and every day (that and The Stooge to be greenlit).

Sorry for not brining this up sooner, but apparently,we could be seeing a 30th anniversary edition of Who Framed Roger Rabbit soon... and through Disney this time (not Touchstone)!:

Oh that sounds great. I didn't buy the 25th anniversary blu-ray and I was peeved that it wasn't included on DMA.

I came across this vintage newspaper ad and thought I'd share. The composition reminded me of the Lilo & Stitch poster. I wonder if this ad was an inspiration for it or if it was just a coincidence.

I've never seen that poster before but I love it! Thanks for posting! I'd love if the 30th anniversary Blu-Ray could have a cover like this.

Great find! I bet it's a coinicidence. But yea that would be a great Blu-ray cover! I love that poster and I'm amazed the film was the most acclaimed film that year!

I remember these ads!

I also remember they sparked controversy; some felt the film was too "adult" to have Disney [and other] characters prominently featured in the newspaper advertising (regardless of their actual appearance in it) because they felt it was leading too many parents to believe it was child-friendly entertainment.
I find it amusing they used a different model for Jessica specifically for these ads, she's definitely "cuter." Coincidentally, they also used yet another model for Jessica for the child-specific merchandise (i.e. coloring books); not as "cute," but not as well-endowed.

I forgot that somebody on there was talking about prepping work for a poster of the film that he hopes will be used as the new cover.

The poster does remind me a lot of L&S. I wouldn't doubt if there was a connection there, but who knows.

wait, so this version:
https://www.amazon.com/Who-Framed-Roger ... 084&sr=1-2
is pan and scan?
this is the version I have but I havent seen it in a long time, if its really pan/scan, well that sucks for me. I love the movie but Ive never really had any interest in owning a blu-ray version.
EDIT: oh nevermind. I was reading the back cover on Amazon and actually it includes both p/s and widescreen versions. The p/s is the first disc.

hah neat!
that reminds me of the ads for some car that they made around the time when WFRR came out using Disney characters in that same "animated characters in a live action world" style they used for the movie. I remember one had the Fantasia brooms and another one I think had the hippo, and one had the Fairy Godmother.
