:jawdrop: That't surprising and great news! :o Does this mean that you have given up your slipcover obsession and realize that it's the actual movie/special features that matter and not the cardboard that guards it? :thumb:

No this can't be true! That's one of the things that makes UD UD!

I mean that'll be like saying Luke doesn't mind wasting bandwidth or MMP saying he'll stop emailing people to come to the chat room or RJKD23 saying she enjoys going to the chat room with MMP!

Alan and his slipcovers are starting to become a cult thing! UD will have nothing to make fun of anymore!

Hey pop-musik,
Where did you get a copy of Song of the South? Did you make a dvd from a vhs tape?

I purchased it from this website about 2 years ago.

http://disneysongofthesouth.com/

The transfer is very beautiful. I have never seen it look better. It comes with nice glossy inserts and labels as well.

The seller is extremely nice and the service was excellent. I received it in the mail about 4 days after my payment was received. The website was accepting Paypal, but now they only take checks & money orders.

Howdy!

WOW! Whoever made that DVD is probably a Photoshop whiz! Turning a scanned British version cover of SotS into an almost-real cover sans BBFC "U" and "CLASSICS" banner (from International Disney video releases)! But if I were to get this movie on DVD, I can wait just one more year! Think of the publicity Disney will output if a US release is possible!

The dvd cover is quite impressive. If Song of the South is not released sometime in 2006 I will probably buy the one from the website.

Well, here are pics of my collection. It isn´t as big as some of the collections from other people here, as it is very expensive to import DVDs here in Brazil, so I can´t buy that many DVDs. Unfortunatelly, the quality of the pictures isn´t very good. The pics of the non-Disney collection are outdated, by the way, as I´ve bough other DVDs since I took it.
I don´t have many VHS left, as I´ve gotten rid of most of them when I started buying DVDs.

Hey Joe Carioca, is there a reason why some of your treasures have that blue band? Where did you buy the treasures?

Great collection BTW

Thanks guys! :)
Alan wrote:Hey Joe Carioca, is there a reason why some of your treasures have that blue band? Where did you buy the treasures?
Well, the first three waves of the Treasures had the blue band around the tin. The fourth wave of tins (and it seems it is going to be a trend from now on) had no blue bands.
The Treasures without the bands are the ones from wave 4 and two Brazilian editions (Mickey Mouse In LC and Silly Symphonies). The Complete Goofy is the one Treasure I don´t have.

Nice collection Joe and nicely organized. I have a question though, where is The Lion King? IS not there, you don't like it?

EDIT: Oh my bad geez. I'm a bit blind today, it was even on the TV! Thanks for telling me and your unnecessary smiley Alan!

Well, I believe Alan has answered your question already. And yes, I love "The Lion King". In fact, I have just watched it, and it is even playing on the TV in the picture I took. :D

Thanks a lot! :D
As for Caballeros, I should have the Brazilian edition as well! :P I´m saving my money for a possible (but oh, so distant) special edition.

Great avatar, by the way! Nice to have other supporters of this great underrated film!
