This just illustrates perfectly why I hate most of today's 2D animation so much. And I don't mean the Princess and the Frog kind of 2D when I say that.Big Disney Fan wrote:

What does that have to do with whether or not that cat is allegedly Figaro?2Disney4Ever wrote:This just illustrates perfectly why I hate most of today's 2D animation so much. And I don't mean the Princess and the Frog kind of 2D when I say that.
Well with the way those shorts look, it's probably hard to tell anyway.Big Disney Fan wrote:What does that have to do with whether or not that cat is allegedly Figaro?2Disney4Ever wrote:This just illustrates perfectly why I hate most of today's 2D animation so much. I have to agree with you. I'm getting tired of disneyphilip's aggressive posts all the time. Why are you so angry/hostile? Try to learn how to express yourself respectfully and please refrain from using these ->Avaitor wrote:Can we ban thisemotion already? It's

Yeah, even I don't really use them as much as that.universALLove wrote:I have to agree with you. I'm getting tired of disneyphilip's aggressive posts all the time. Why are you so angry/hostile? there's really no need for it. Thank you.

(buzzer sound) Wrong! You are entirely incorrect once again.2Disney4Ever wrote:Uh, no they don't. You really think that Flash style with the thick-outlined, cardboard cutout characters is better and more appealing than how the characters were traditionally drawn? Despite obviously trying to take after the classic old school designs, it's just another awful way of trying to give these beloved characters a "new look" that isn't anywhere as appealing as how they had been done before (and not even as artistically good as the old school shorts it's trying to emulate). This is also why I didn't like the designs on The Looney Tunes Show when the Looney Tunes were being drawn just fine before.
Disney has copied Figaro's design on different occasions.Big Disney Fan wrote:In any case, I agree, I don't understand how they think that that cat and Figaro are one and the same.
Its really not reasonable to expect theatrical quality designs/linework on a show with this quick of a turn around.2Disney4Ever wrote:This just illustrates perfectly why I hate most of today's 2D animation so much. Maybe not, but I think it is reasonable to want to see TV scale animation look the very best that it can, which cartoons like these new ones and their crude character designs don't really try to do. There's a major difference between how well 90's cartoons from the Disney Afternoon were drawn and how well this is drawn.Kyle wrote:Its really not reasonable to expect theatrical quality designs/linework on a show with this quick of a turn around.
Theatrical quality had nothing to do with this. I was merely wondering how those cats are one and the same.Kyle wrote:2Disney4Ever wrote:Its really not reasonable to expect theatrical quality designs/linework on a show with this quick of a turn around.
I only quoted you to keep what 2Disney4Ever said in context. I was only referring to what 2Disney4Ever said.Big Disney Fan wrote:Theatrical quality had nothing to do with this. I was merely wondering how those cats are one and the same.
You're still as dead wrong as ever, 2Disney4Ever, and you know it!Maybe not, but I think it is reasonable to want to see TV scale animation look the very best that it can, which cartoons like these new ones and their crude character designs don't really try to do.
