We didn't know that Godmothered had animation until it came out, so everything is possible!

That didn't occur to me. If that's the case, could they have changed the story they had completely to fit the new setting?Toky wrote:They probably film this in Ireland due to Covid. Can’t see anything being filmed in NY anytime soon.
Here's the casting call:D82 wrote:Disney are looking for local dancers for upcoming film shot in Ireland

Thanks for laughing. XDD82 wrote:Sadly, it's a good reason to get disenchanted.

The clever screenplay is by Brigitte Hales, who has written for the TV series Once Upon a Time, so a very appropriate choice. The director and choreographer is Adam Shankman, who among many other movies directed the delightful screen adaptation of Hairspray. I am really liking collaborating with this terrific team. Of course, I can’t say anything about the plot, since that would involve a lot of spoilers, but I can say that the movie is planned to be a full-out musical, with more songs than the original (so far Alan and I have written seven songs, not counting reprises.) I think the current plan is to begin shooting the movie later this spring in Dublin, which I hope turns out to be true, since I love Ireland and would be delighted to spend some time there again, COVID-permitting. But wherever and whenever it actually goes into production, it has been a really enjoyable experience for me so far, and I have been very happy to have deadlines for an actual new project once more after the long fallow period brought on by the pandemic.

Up early on a Saturday morning, he puts in some time rewriting lyrics for a new Disney movie musical before sitting for an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The movie, “Disenchanted,” currently in production, is a sequel to the 2007 hit “Enchanted.” It teams him up again with composer Alan Menken, and they’ve already written seven new songs, with more coming.
That's great!Sotiris wrote:There will be seven new songs in the sequel!
I think that's an interesting take, for sure! I think Nancy and Giselle normally might be able to help people deal with those feelings a bit, having lived in both worlds (if not for the curse, I suppose), but a curse is a good plot point...I wonder what the curse-breaker would be. I want to see this movie.unprincess wrote:what if Andalasia has been struck with a curse that turned its whimsical cartoon world into a real world but not only is it real, its this grimdark grey dreary "life forever sucks" place ala Westeros. Maybe that's what the Ireland location is for.![]()

Alan Menken: It's really good. I don't think I'm allowed. It's filming. Amy Adams is in it. Patrick's in it. Idina Menzel is in it. Jimmy Marsden... They're in it. [...] The sequel to Enchanted is in pre-production but it's going to start filming very soon. It's in Dublin. [...] Disenchanted is basically done [in terms of songwriting] but I'm still writing the score.
No, unfortunately.unprincess wrote:Does Menken confirm anything about it having 2D animation segments?

That would have been interesting to watch.Redadoodles wrote:I wonder if the will keep the humour family friendly or if they will make it more adult. To be honest, I've always wanted to watch this scene of Giselle talking to two hookers.![]()
