I have mixed feelings on the second one because it's like a live action SW almost, like it's rotoscoped. But I love seeing these things, so thanks so much for sharing them, Vlad!

In the second one, I love how she wears her peasant dress, but it's colored as her Princess dress, except the puffy sleeves. But it's a really cool design, it's not a scene they use to market the film.

And case in point, the colors of the dwarf’s hats have no rhyme, reason, or consistency. Lol

When it's mentioned that the evil stepmother uses Black Magic, Snow White seems dismissive. Could she just not have known/was it kept secret from her? Or do you guys think that she was still aware of that threat in some way?

I think Snow White did not know, and didn't believe her stepmother or really any person could be that evil.

Evil enough to want her dead. Plus in the movie, it seems to be a widespread myth at least if the dwarfs know about it.

You're right, Snow White knew the Queen was evil enough to want her dead. So, she maybe didn't believe the Queen could also be a secret witch? Like she thought she would have known if she was?

The "pro-shot" version of the "Snow White 50th" stage show from 1987 has been FOUND and uploaded to YouTube:

I found this interesting article about Disney's 4K restoration work and it may be a hint at upcoming 4K restorations. There are also some comparisons, before and after the restoration.

Thanks for the article! It's good to know that they are trying to preserve the movies respecting the style and the original colors.

I think the pencil tests are for Shanghai Disneyland’s Once Upon a Time Adventure, which is a walkthrough attraction that retells the story of Snow White with CGI animation.

Snow White Speaks
https://people.com/archive/snow-white-s ... -27-no-20/
Harry Stockwell [the voice of Prince Charming] called me and said, “Adriana, let’s go to the premiere.” I said, “That would be wonderful!”

We went to the door and the girl said, “May I have your tickets?” I said, “I’m Snow White, and this is Prince Charming.” The girl said, “I don’t care if you’re the witch. You’re not going in if you don’t have a ticket.”

Harry was furious! We didn’t know what to do. So when she wasn’t looking, we sneaked in.
This is the first time I've heard this story about Adrianna, and I kind of love it. Next time someone tries to tell me that Snow White was a passive little china doll, I'm telling them about the time Snow White and her Prince went rogue and broke into their own movie premiere.

Snow White will always be a "passive" character... I don't think that's a fact that's debatable.

There are a couple great stories about Adriana Caselotti. I read years ago that she kept a wishing well in her front yard and would dress as Snow White for the local kids. There’s something I admire in those voice actors who continue to embrace their characters for decades after the premiere of their film. I guess some people might think it’s kooky for a 50+ yo woman to dress as Snow White and sing to a well, but what a great memory for those kids. And what a thrill it must have been to have the Snow White in your neighborhood!
