Any word on a UK release date for Hercules or The Black Cauldron (the only single-narative DAC yet to be given a date somewhere)?

UK Disney are being super slow, they have only just put Mermaid up for pre-order.

Disney has apparently stopped issuing Blu-rays for the Southeast Europe market (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia) as they deemed the format unprofitable (t)here. The last Blu-ray issued was Frankenweenie. This action is not without precedent as the same has happened with Israel, supposedly. Is there anyone from Israel who can confirm this?

I emailed Disney yesterday in regards to weather Mary Poppins would still be released on December 9th in time for Christmas, and was pleasently surprised to hear that it's apparently now due for 25th November!

I didn't think; it must be being released to coincide with 'Saving Mr Banks' ? Totally didn't register that before.....

Some users over at Blu-ray.com who have already received copies are reporting that the new transfers of Robin Hood and Oliver and Company look great while The Sword in the Stone looks not so good. Reviews should hopefully be up within the next few days.

Just saw some caps from the Sword In The Stone Blu-ray - What the f*** was Disney thinking
!! This is the worst Disney restoration I've ever seen... I looks like they did it using Photoshops median filter... Awful!!

It's hard for me to tell the difference on a picture, but I don't doubt that it's crap

It's sad and seems inconsistent as usual for Disney as Robin Hood reportedly looks great and Sword In The Stone is crap

WOW.

It looks like a transfer Disney did for the "Wizarrific Spells with Merlin Edition" DVD or whatever it was named and they never paid the money to support a fresh-new one for Blu-Ray. I guess the reviews on this once they come out are going to be savage and notice the DVNR-issues. Anyone else notice the blue dot on Mim's dragon form?!

My local warehouse had the BR's for Robin Hood, Sword, and Oliver just shipped in. I almost bought Sword in the Stone but ended up with Oliver instead after seeing a clips of its new transfer in motion. Decision well made in retrospect.

Either decision you make for either Robin Hood and Oliver you'll be getting transfers that have been digitally scrubbed of grain or texture, but are fine transfers in general (Oliver seems to be a negative-based restoration rather than from the mid-90's rerelease print the DVDs used) and are probably going to be the best they ever look for now.

I noticed it as well. There is also a random green dot in the middle (background) of the kitchen screenshot.

That's what I was thinking.

I'd welcome anyone to try to help me understand. They do look the same to me.

Fine detail has gone out the window. I am working on a comparison for both Robin Hood and Sword in the Stone right now, the difference is definitely noticeable

People who pre-ordred Winnie The Pooh Blu Ray through The Disney Movie Club that it's shipping. Apparently they have a deal where they release it early. I want to say they did that last summer with one of their movies. Mine Shipped.
