Love the mystery with the animals going wild. Love it a lot.

But I have a feeling that the reason why they're going wild is related to the mayor and he will be the main villain.

Aside from some low hanging jokes, I think Disney is on a roll here. Can't wait to see this. :)

My feelings about this movie are a complete 180 from the feelings I had when the sloth trailer came out.

EDIT: Oh and Shakira's song is kinda bad tbh

To be honest, that's probably my favorite trailer for a Disney Animation film in a long time. It has sold me. Unlike some other trailers I could mention, it doesn't hide what the film's general plot and heart is at all. In fact, I almost think it shows too much, but I'd honestly rather see more than less out of Disney, especially from a film like Zootopia where the premise alone may not attract many people.

Also, wow, that racial-prejudice message isn't subtle at all. I'm shocked that Disney would highlight at the beginning of a trailer, since it seems like the kind of thing that could be controversial. I applaud them for having the guts to do it, though.

One thing, though, is that I agree that Shakira's song is very weak from her. They couldn't go with anything a little more...wild? Shakira is capable of doing that.

Agreed!

You know it's kind of ironic that this is a reverse of the Lion King/Pocahontas thing, this time it's the animal movie talking about prejudice while the Princess movie is a coming of age story with a dead relative that encourages her to leave home. But yeah I think Zootopia will be an interesting movie because in current issues today race and prejudice are hot topics.

After listening to the song over again, it's kind of grown on me.

Well the trailer's out, and that brings new curiosity. Since Mr. Director said no apes but any mammal are allowed in Zootopia, that made me thinking: do marine mammals, like dolphins and friggin' whales count? And on a side note, I am further confused over Nick's "son" and Finnick in the elephant suit.

This looks really good so far and the trailers are playing really well with audiences. People were probably wrong to immediately write it off as a nothing film.

Well, the Disney Store put a major spoiler on the title of one of the items about who the elephant guy is. Though it's totally obvious

I like the two main characters. Everything else though.... Every other animal that speaks is annoying fodder only there for a gag.

Although it will never happen, I think Judy should be made an honorary princess. She might not be royalty, but she has all the characteristics of a Disney Princess.I wonder how popular she will be with young girls.

Does anyone remember how originally Chicken Little was originally going to be a girl, but Eisner changed it because he believed boys would not be interested in a girl protagonist? It's the reverse situation here, because Judy at first started out as being the secondary protagonist while Nick was going to be the main character. And I am not complaining at all because usually the protagonists of their non-princess movies are male, and this is a good change in formula.

From what I've seen, I'm really getting Lilo and Stitch vibes. Which is all good ! Surprise hit  (Thats obviously conjecture as may really not like it haha !)

The international trailer is out and man it has a lot of footage that really shows that Disney has a real winner this first half year.

I liked that too, the plot looks really interesting now. There were also some clever things like the nudist animals or the reference to The Godfather. And the backgrounds of the city and how things work there are very detailed and creative.

As usual, the Japanese trailer shows more of the emotional moments and centers a bit more on Judy, though it maybe shows too much.

I'm increasingly excited about the film.

Zootopia seems to have made the concept of anthro animals into a plot device for the movie, just a Incredibles used more down to earth consequences of superheroes as a plot device, and Monsters Inc. did the same with monsters in the closet or under the bed. What they have in common is that the idea is related to the breaking the fifth wall.
