Where'd you get it for that price? I planned on skipping on this, but may have to blindbuy if it's only $11.

Not going to waste my money on 3-D films because if you read the trade papers, audience attendance at 3-D films in the theaters is waning. Like the 3-D fad of the past, this too shall pass, albeit a little slower than some have thought.
That being said, I was in Best Buy picking up my copy of "Avatar-3-Disc Collector's Edition) on Blu-ray and found that one of my favorite movies of the 70's has been released on Blu-ray.
Picked up
Magic starring Anthony Hopkins, Burgess Meredith and Ann-Margret, Directed by Sir Richard Attenborough. This is classic film making at its best with a story about a washed-up comedian (Hopkins) named Corky takes on the task of becoming a ventriloquist with a dummy named Fats. Slowly Fats begins taking over Corky's life and there are some gruesome deaths, and some unexplained happenings that all point to Hopkins and his dummy. Great film-making, with a fabulous director and a very good story to boot.

$22 at The Real Canadian Superstore, but I used some of my shoppers points so it actually came out to about $2.

Where did you get the coupon?
$5.00 at Walmart
I bought this a couple weeks ago. I've always hated this story, so I've never seen the new version, and I watched it one night and loved it! Now I'm trying to get my hands on the original!

Since it was that cheap, and DMR is offering a $59 Blu-Ray player... is this an indicator that Blu-Ray is already obsolete?

Next Tuesday is the Wallet-breaking Tuesday with all of the Disney releases coming out, so this week it was just one movie for me and that was
The Expendables on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy Combo pack for $19.99 at Best Buy. Movie is filled with lots of extras including the feature-length documentary on "The Making of".
Next week it is "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" and the "Fantasia/Fantasia 2000" double movie pack on Blu-ray, along with a couple of other titles. It's gonna hurt, but as a true DVD Junkie I will weather the storm.
