Neal, are you talking about the Up Adventure Kit? :? If so, didn't the item description say that the metal box was not meant for carrying food items?

Yes, the adventure kit, but that box looks/probably is a lunchbox - but is not of the same calibre as a real lunchbox (i.e. the paint could probably easily chip).

When you get it, could you post pics and tell me if the kit is worth the points? Thanks for responding. :)

Yes, I would be happy to take some pictures - I got it mostly for the box itself as a display piece, but I'll let you know about the quality of the other items.

Congratulations! I just ordered the poster, as well! I can't wait to get it! Luckily, I used to work at a photo lab that has a framing shop, so, I have the hookup on getting it professionally matted and framed, for cheap!

Has anyone here able to save enough points to actually do the Disney Studios Tour for 4 or even for 2? Is it really worth saving up for?

I doubt it. I wouldn't even try it. They have fine print on those tours so that if you try to redeem they reserve the right to ask you to verify every point you earned towards it. Can you imagine trying to produce receipts or upc's for every code you entered? What if some were gifts you received or gave? Supposed to ask Aunt Mabel to give you her dvd so you can cut out her UPC. How about that dvd you bought from a bankrupt Circuit City in 2006 that you don't have a receipt for?

Yeah, what buffalobill said is right, I just looked in the terms and conditions, and it said:
10. Enrollees must save the original official code document, a copy of the Credit Form, original receipt(s) and proofs of purchase, and a copy of the Submission Form and Disney movie ticket stub(s), as well as any confirmation emails referencing points credited to their account for at least ninety (90) days after the date Enrollee redeems an item online, as it may be necessary to later submit codes for verification. Sponsor reserves the right to require proof including, but not limited to, the original official code document(s) and proof of purchase materials. Sponsor's decisions regarding the awarding of points are final and binding. Validated codes, original receipt(s), proofs of purchase or ticket stub(s) that are subsequently determined to be invalid for any reason are subject to disqualification and the corresponding points will be removed from the Enrollee's Account to which the invalid validated points were credited.
What should we do if we traded codes? Hmm...

I have 15,000 points and was going to cash them in for a tour, but am rethinking it now. I own all of the points I have redeemed, but 15,000/100 points average per item = 150 proofs of purchase I need to cut and I definitely didn't keep a single receipt for any of them. They don't make you do it for any other rewards, so why the tours?

Not now, but a couple years back when they had the 23" lcd hdtv I know someone who saved up the 8-10,000 points (not sure exactly how much it was) for it & when he went to redeem it they asked for proofs of purchase for every code and when he couldn't produce them they took all 10,000 or so points from his account. Talk about a guy that was steamed. :x

buffalobill wrote:Does the poster signed by the animators come by the Post Office or UPS? And how is it packaged? I think I may be able to order it before the end of the weekend.
Mine came via UPS and required a signature upon delivery. It was packaged in a ultra hard tube that would take a person jumping on it to bend it.

Got mine today! Yeah, its pretty cool, they left it on my doorstep, didn't need a signature. Its mostly mint, there's a little crinkling on one side but that does happen in a poster tube. A frame will hide any imperfections. Very pleased...it looks like the animators signed next to the characters they drew.

How many signatures? Any type of certificate of authenticity or at least list of the names of those who signed (which'd be nice to attach to the back of the frame)?

Nope, just the receipt and the poster. Mine came with 12 signatures when I last counted.

Just read over at dvdtalk.com in the hot deals forum a guy (username Michael Corvin) just got his Princess & The Frog poster opened & he has 6 pics of it where it is ripped, creased, torn etc... Boy I hope mine is one of the well packed ones. Mine was just ordered yesterday so it won't even ship until probably later this week. That scares me.

I may have already mentioned this before but the thing with UPC's and receipts is really disappointing. I guess I'd be willing to cut them all out for such a big prize but I have *no* receipts whatsoever. :(

Found this on another forum. Sign in to your Disney rewards account and click on Blu-Ray tab at top. You can get 50 points by clicking play all on the hi-def informational video. Just did it and got the 50 points.

That's been on there a long time. And I think most of us have gotten the 50 points for that promo already.
