Not only is the picture quality even more amazing than the DVD, but the blu has other special features that are not on the DVD, such as the Cine-Explore with commentary, the Maleficent Dragon Encounter feature, and the restoration of the soundtrack featurette.
Look like I got to go get the blu ray then. I already have the dvd one. but I'd like to get the blu ray so i don't have to wait so damn long till it pop back up.
Also I have question concerning the snow white dvd/bluray deal.
I heard the Blu Ray comes with the diamond edition dvd as well. so is that dvd has all the content that the stand alone dvd edition has? Does Blu ray have more content than dvd one like the Sleeping Beauty one?
I just want to know before going out to buy it.
btw where the hell did you get that awesome prince philip image?

I would advise you to never depend on amazon to have the slipcover unless you ordered it in like the first month. If you really must have the slipcover...
I suppose you can always find a copy in the store that has it, buy the DVD, keep the slipcover, then return the DVD.

Can't he just keep the dvd as well? It doesn't seem that he has a copy in the first place.

Yeah, sure, if he hasn't like already bought the DVD on amazon or something, which would possibly be cheaper.

Tarzan., I did the same thing with Peter Pan Platinum Edition a month ago. All you have to do is to click on the new button and get it shipped from someone else. In the description of the item, it should say with slipcover. That's what you should probably order. Sometimes, they won't say if they have the slipcover or not. You probably shouldn't get those. I got Peter Pan PE for 17.56 with slipcover (not too bad!), but it was a teensy bit battered up. A little bit of the bottom left corner paint was peeled off, but that was alright. I hope this works!

I finally just got this on Blu Ray and was wondering if it is suppose to come with an insert guide of all the special features. While I am at it, did Pinocchio come with a Blu Ray insert of its special features too? Thanks for the help!

The only DAC that's had a special features guide in it so far is Snow White. Neither Sleeping Beauty or Pinocchio have had guides...

I have a question about the Sleeping Beauty Bluray version. I did try and scan through some of the many posts to see if any one has talked about this but couldn’t find it (mainly because I am at work and I can’t take too much time to look for it).
What happened to the main menu? When I borrowed the Sleeping Beauty Bluray from my niece back in August the menu showed the real temperature in my “kingdom” and you could see the temperatures of the Disney Parks around the world with accurate depictions of the weather in the background image. As I have just picked up a copy for myself I went to watch it last night and the temperature part is gone. The background that shows the kingdom was night time and snowing which it was both outside.
When I first encountered the menu back in August I thought it was a really cool concept and wish more menus were “interactive” like that. Was the weather part removed? It’s not the end of the world, just curious.

I'm not sure, as I haven't checked my Sleeping Beauty Blu-ray, but I can tell you that Disney is changing BDLive. Disney is dropping the online registration process along with Movie Chat, Movie Challenge, Movie Mail, and Disney Movie Rewards Live. Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio will both be getting the same generic BDLive experience that Snow White currently has (the movie trailers section). This is a result of the problematic (aggravating online registration process) that was alienating potential users and the general lack of interest in Movie Chat, Movie Challenge, Movie Mail, and Disney Movie Rewards Live.
I'm going to assume if there was any change to the weather system running the menu, it would be the dropped online registration, and change in Disney BDLive that would cause it. I have to agree with you, I love Sleeping Beauty's realtime menu (cooler then Snow White's and especially Pinocchio's pathetic one). Just a few weeks ago it accurately displayed it being 33°, nighttime, and snowing outside without the registration crap (before it was never accurate as it wanted me to register).

Well at least I wasn't hallucinating.
I can see why they would drop the BDlive features like Movie Chat, Movie Challenge, and Movie Mail. Personally features like those are a waste as I never use them. But the don't get rid of the good features like realtime interactive menus. We need more menus with that kind of interactivity and not online features that hardly anyone uses.

I amazed no one's posted in here to say:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SLEEPING BEAUTY!
Today is the 61st anniversary and I'm enough of a dork to want to celebrate.

Happy belated 51st birthday to my favorite Disney film! It helps me to remember my girlfriend's birthday too as it's on January 29 as well.
