Yes, I have found a way to idolize Julie and mock Shrek in the same avatar/siggy set! I love it!

I love your new siggy/avatar set!! It's so true. Dreamworks often uses celebrities in their movies as an advertising gimmick without even giving them a descent part. For example, Angelina Jolie has like 2 sentences of dialogue in Kung Fu Panda while Lucy Liu only a SYLLABLE for crying out loud. It feels such a waste to pay celebrities just for those very minor roles.
And the issue of the title of Shrek 4 is also frustrating and confusing. Is "The Final Chapter" the new title, the subtitle or the tagline? Make up your minds already!!!
As for the franchise being over that is only an illusion I'm afraid. We have the Puss-in-Boots spin-off, and if that goes well we'll have more sequels of that or spin-offs of other characters (Donkey seems to be a possible contender), there is the planned Shrek Halloween special (assuming more specials will follow too) while a TV series for Nickelodeon is practically unavoidable.

Thanks!
I haven't seen all of Kung Fu Panda, but I can't believe anybody would waste money on big name celebrities for roles with practically no lines, when you can get veteran voice performers who would do the job for much less. Then again, I guess "Angelina Jolie" sells more tickets than "Tress MacNellie".
The name thing has been killing me. I can forgive going from "Goes Fourth" to "Forever After", it was upgrade. But what the heck is up with "The Final Chapter"? A lot of times you'll see the movie advertised, and that's what they'll call it- not "Shrek Forever After". Dumb, dumb, dumb.
I can live with a Shrek Halloween special (probably not a series, but what can you do...) and here's to hoping that Puss in Boots will do poorly enough not to garner its secession of sequels!

Actually, Jack Black took top billing for Kung Fu Panda

. I actually didn't know Angelina Jolie and Lucy Liu did voices until I read the credits. It was Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman's show (not bashing the movies, mind you, I loved it and think its one of their best efforts along with Dragons).
Oh and I couldn't be less excited for Shrek 4. The trailers make it look like a HUGE mess of story and characters, and the "It's a Wonderful Life" plot is one of the most overused story cliches ever.
Blah... Anyways, great icon and sig, Umbrellafish

It's signalling the end of the original franchise, and will be followed up with a series of films that are continually more stupid than the last one:
Shrek: A New Beginning (2011)
Shrek: Shrek Lives (2012)
Shrek: The New Blood (2014)
Shrek: Shrek Takes Manhattan (2015)
Shrek Goes to Hell: The Final Shrek (2019)
Shrek X (2028 )
Freddy vs. Shrek (2029)
And then they'll decide to reboot the entire series in 2035, simply titled
Shrek once again.

Which will be followed by
Shrekin' 2: Electric Boogaloo.

I heard that Shrekin' 2: Electric Boogaloo will also introduce the finally-perfected Smello-Vision 2.5 system. Now we can finally smell that swampy goodness!

Ooh, can't wait for all the wonderfully swampy smells that will accompany the funky green breakdancing! And not to mention all the green commercial tie-ins.
But honestly, I'm looking forward to the next Shrek, even if it's only to see Fiona dressed up as a warrior and acting all bad-ass.

Maybe those roles are simply cameos.

But you don't put the names of cameo appearances with big letters all over posters and commercials. It's clear that DreamWorks overuses celebrity voices to attract audiences.

It's not a cameo when the characters are on the film's official poster-
And, in reference to the above posts, if there's one thing that will bring a Disney community together, it's making fun of Dream Works!

Dreamworks doesnt do that anymore, if Shrek 4, HTTYD, and MvA are any indication.
So remind me what Viper's syllable was?

If the marketing team overuses the names, doesn't mean it's the fault of the team that's actually making the movie. Marketing often does weird things, like promoting a movie a different way from what the movie actually is. If those actors really only have one line, it's either the only surviving piece of the part, or a cameo.

I'm afraid it still does. Have you seen the teaser for MegaMind?
And it wasn't really a syllable. I used a hyperbole there. If i'm not mistaken the only thing she says in the entire movie is "Tigress, we're not trying to stop you. We're coming with you".

^not megamind, no.
And I think Viper has two lines in the movie: that and one when they're talking about po after first day of training.

I've changed mine to Simba getting ready to roar, and an image of Pride Rock to go along with it.

Rey and I finally got through all the Daria episodes.
I've been wanting to draw Fiona for quite a while now, and with the next movie coming out soon it seemed like the right time.

So I figured I might as well make a matching avatar and banner set to support my Fiona love.
I know there aren't a lot of Dreamworks fans here but I do enjoy a lot of their animated movies. In all honesty I didn't care much for Shrek the Third though so I'm hoping Forever After will have more of the feel of the first two.
I also can't wait to see Fiona as warrior.

I think you did a great job, e! The coloring does justice to the CG seen in the film, while giving it a very hand drawn feel to it. Not to mention that you made a character that is unattractive in the film look very, very beautiful. I mean, it makes me wish that the film directors would do a similar shot and make us believe why Shrek fell in love with her
Thumbs up!
