Her amulet has the power to bring all of the princesses to her in her time of need. So far, Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, Ariel, and Aurora have all appeared on the show. Of course, I've had Sofia on my mind as I'm doing a Sofia Week on my blog, all this week. It's a cute little show that unlike other Disney Junior shows or kids shows isn't a Dora clone and instead just tells a story and lets the story play out naturally. It's worth checking out.
Thanks for the info, I will check it out over the weekend.

So, I've been thinking about Rapunzel appearing on Sofia The First and I've been wondering, do you think she'll have her long flowing blonde hair or do you think it'll be her short brunette hair. I'm thinking it's going to be the latter as I imagine that's easier to animate.

In this beautifully illustrated hardcover jacketed picture book, Sofia faces grave danger when she faces Princess Ivy, a once exiled princess who is determined to take over Enchancia and turn the whole kingdom black and white. Sofia and Amber must work together to save their family and their kingdom! Based on the Disney Junior movie event featuring Rapunzel airing in Fall 2014 and includes a Disney eBook!

I misread that as "Poison Ivy".
I don't see what's so evil and wrong about Princess Ivy turning Enchancia into Unova. That would actually be awesome!

Me too and I hope Amber gets to see Rapunzel because we need another little fan girl moment. Her reaction at seeing Jasmine was just adorable.

‘Sofia the First: The Floating Palace’ on DVD in April

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that the Disney Junior television special, ‘Sofia the First: The Floating Palace’ which features an appearance by Ariel, will be available to own on Disney DVD on April 8, 2014.
Do you believe in mermaids? You will — when you set sail on a magical full-length adventure under the sea with Sofia the First! After Sofia helps a young mermaid named Oona, Sofia’s amulet grants her the power to transform into a mermaid and visit her new friend’s secret underwater kingdom. But when Cedric (disguised as a sea monster) plots to steal Oona’s enchanted Mermaid Comb, danger surfaces for both worlds. With a little help from special guest, Princess Ariel, Sofia embarks on an adventure to rescue Oona. Overflowing with oceans of song-filled fun, ‘Sofia the First: The Floating Palace’ proves that when families and friends work together, they can weather any storm and save the day!
In addition to the special episode, the DVD also contains three bonus episodes plus exclusive friendship bracelets.
In addition, a new soundtrack from the series, Sofia the First: Songs From Enchancia, will be available to own on January 28, 2014.

This show is a guilty pleasure. It's really cute though.
Don't know if I'll ever be self-accepting enough to buy the DVDs for myself.
I was glad to see Aurora in Holiday In Enchancia. Disappointed her role was smaller than previous princesses who have appeared. Not sure if I'm relieved that she didn't get a song after the horror that was 'keys to the Kingdom'.
I hope we see a couple of the ethnic forgotten princesses next season. Mulan and Pocahontas please.

The next three princesses announced to appear are going to be Snow White, Mulan, and Rapunzel. Though, Mulan's episode won't be airing until summertime. Also, the Songs From Enchancia soundtrack came out today and I've been listening to it on my IPad. So happy, that it has both versions of Good Little Witch on it and I'm thinking the song, Brothers and Sisters is most likely from the upcoming episode, Two Princesses and a Baby.

Tiana is scheduled to appear on
Sofia the First. That only leaves Pocahontas and Merida.
Among the highlights of the season: appearances by familiar Disney Princesses: Mulan (Ming-Na Wen), Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) and Rapunzel (Mandy Moore). Additional guests include Alyson Hannigan, Ginnifer Goodwin, Isla Fisher, Sean Astin, Nick Offerman, Tracey Ullman and Phylicia Rashad. Actress Katie Von Till is the voice of Snow White in the special April 4 episode ("The Enchanted Feast"). In it, Megan Mullally will return as evil fairy Miss Nettle.

I can't wait to see Tiana on the show as well as Mulan and Rapunzel! I just wanna get Snow White's appearance over with. I hope Jas and Ariel have second appearances! I can't wait for season 2 to start! Does anyone know what Tiana's storyline is?

Sofia the First is my favorite show on TV right now, tied with Doc McStuffins and Doctor Who, and I am definitely not ashamed. My sister likes it too and she's got both DVDs as well as several books. Working on the CD purchases, however. Lol.
Is everyone ready for the season 2 premiere next Friday? I can't believe Disney Junior hasn't been properly advertising for it!
All of those guest stars - ISLA FISHER THOUGH OMG YAAAAY! - are going to be FABULOUS and I'm so happy to see so many names I know and love! Too bad they didn't user Ginnifer as Snow White. I knew it was a far-fetched idea, but it's just an ultimate fantasy for me. So so so so pumped for Snow, Mulan, Tiana, and Rapunzel when they come.
That lovely promo cap of Snow and Sofia gives me great hope. I am hoping they darken the blue of her bodice, but other than that it looks splendid.

That looks like a lovely still, thank you for finding it! Snow looks lovely. I wonder if she will sing, or be just speaking. There goes my theory of Ginnfer Goodwin possibly playing Snow the character in it!

Looks like Katie Von Till is now the official 100% speaking voice of Snow, taking over from Carolyn Gardner.
