Yeah, that's my first impression. It seems to have been made after the title change.

You are correct, sir. It is fan made. It is based on the picture from Disney FAN magazine that I drew for fun, because I think Rapunzel is cute just like my sister-in-law, Stephanie, and Flynn Rider is handsome like my brother, Nick.

They would think that but I dont see how it would flop as a result of that. This film has three things going for it that TPatF didnt from a profit standpoint: celebrity voices, less girl centric, and probably more adult appealing jokes and humor

And there's the fourth thing of course: IT'S A CGI COMEDY.

Now if it still plans to compete with Harry Potter come November...then I can see the flop potential.

I'm not sure who would qualify as more of a celebrity than either Keith David, Oprah, John Goodman, or Jennifer Lewis. Mandy Moore is pretty well-known, but I'm not sure if she would be a positive (girly). And Zachary Levi? I honestly didn't know who he was before this movie.

less girl centric

Is it really? Or are the commercials only less girl-centric?

To me, it has several things going against it: 1. It's Disney. 2. Harry Potter - The Last Movie, part 1 ("It's gonna be big"). And, which I think will ultimately have less impact than the other two, 3. The title and advertisements, which I'm expecting to be downright terrible (TP&TF's were, and it ended up being a good movie to me in the end). We'll see. Can't say I'm rooting for it, but it'll do what it'll do.

This is a fan art I created, courtesy to Disney's 50th animated movie, "Rapunzel (I strongly recommend that name besides, "Tangled")." This will also be a tribute to Rodrigo Yborra, who created that art. And sotiris2006, who uploaded that art.

I have gone through such conflicting emotions on this name change!!!
At first I was all "This Sucks!!!", then I was all "Alright Fine!!!", now I'm all "Son of A Bitch, F*** This Noise!!!"

Anyone else bipolar on this issue???

I mean ultimately it's quality that matters but this is the 50th film!!!

Sotiris that's AMAZING!!! Hahaha you have to find some way to send that to Disney. Can you post it on their facebook page somehow? Hahahaha that's completely perfect!

Sorry friend. I just don't have the taste buds on that new title, "Tangled." As a result, I make fun of it.

You're right about The Disney Afternoon of course. I loved the earlier shows but stopped watching in the late 90's, not because I'd lost interest in Disney, but because the new shows weren't nearly as good or ground-breaking as the older set.

Thanks. I just opened up the image in photoshop and digitally painted over the watermarks in hopes that I could get it to look like what it was supposed to.

Ok, here's my shot at them . . . I left all the ones Disney put in out of laziness . . . not sure what was up with the silver heart but left that there too.

Those two pics are godawfull! Especially the top picture. She looks deformed. I don't even have to know the real Rapunzel to know that these are incredibly bad drawings and VERY off model! Yikes!

I can see the potential but this tells me absolutely nothing.
