How did you guess? Although I am toying with changing it to by character and characters ordered by first appearance. Going animation first, then live action.

It seemed to me that your previous post suggested just that, but I wasn't quite sure.

Changing the order would make sense, in my opinion, since there's no connection between the "inner logic" of the contents and the order in which the sets were released.

Where to buy TLM?

Only a couple days away, so I thought I'd start the thread that was so helpful in February for LatT. Where are the best deals and the best give-a-ways for The Little Mermaid? Plushes, lithographs, gift cards? Everyone with some info, please contribute.

*Now as we all know, it is most helpful to this site to purchase online through ud.com, and I'm not intending to discourage that.*

I'll be making my midnight run to wal-mart! i'm really excited because i have like 10 people saying they want to go with me, we're going to make a line in front of the DVD area for it. we're such losers, lol.

anyway, if it's like any other of my midnight disney runs then they'll bring the box of like 30 copies out, leave the box unopened and i'll get frustrated so i'll open the box at about 1am for them and then make a run for it (to the cashier of course). At least that's what i've had to do for Bambi, Bambi II, Cinderella, Pocahontas, and Toy Story. it's an adventure!

I have my pile of ads, ready to make a list but that thread/link has most of them down. Heres a few they missed.

Toys "R" Us - Nothing. Though TRU is having a buy one get one 50% off all dvd and vhs movies. This includes Little Mermaid.

Target - Free Wedding Gown with purchase of dvd and Little Mermaid giftset (15.99)

Meijer - Buy Little Mermaid and get these items FREE, Kellogg's Mini-Swirl Peanut Butter Cereal or Corn Flakes Cereal and 1 gallon of Meijer Milk.

Fry's Electronics has The Little Mermaid for $13.99 but this is in the California areas like LA, SD and SAC.

Does the add by any chance say what the Little Mermaid Giftset consists of? Best Buy has one that allegedly comes with pins, so it isn't like the past Platinum gift sets.

I'm going to Best Buy for the plushies! I already have a vintage Sebastian so I'll take Flounder.

This one is supposed to be like figurines that are seperate from the DVD itself, but when you buy them with the DVD (which has a lip gloss bracelet on pack), you get a wedding gown.

Which is what I'm gonna do. Because my niece will then be neck deep in her Little Mermaid crap.

Thanks Dave. ha ha ha. That's funny about your neice. I think I'm pretty sure I'll be getting the box set from Best Buy with the pins, then.

The giftset has Barbie sized Ariel and Price Eric in a wedding setting.

Hey everyone! i've been a huge fan for this site for about a year and half now. i just now finally got my own name for the site. :) anyway i got some questions about TLM.

1. Where would it be the cheapest?
2. Where, on this site, can i find the scans of TLM Platinum Edition Case?

I'm definitly going to be buying the dvd at Best Buy. Since its the cheapest there. Plus I may or may not be getting a free plushie!

I'm going to Best Buy for the low price and cheap plush, despite their baloney preorder false advertisement (you don't get five bucks off ANYTHING if it's really the way they explained it to me). I can't believe that Wal-Mart will have the no frills version for more than Best Buy though. I'm sure if you pop in this week, Wal-Mart will have the version without the free CD for 14.99 too.

Best Buy has it the cheapest, unless you live in California and have a Fry's. (I don't live in CA).

I'll be getting one copy @ Best Buy for me. And then two copies at Target - one for my 7 year old niece & one for my 5 year old niece.

If you have Best Buy - they'll probably have it the cheapest. Unless you prefer Target.

Circuit City will have a golden book, but I don't trust them to have the freebie (at least MY store I don't trust). I never got my freebie from buying Lady&Tramp.

My store was the same way. I called them in advance when LatT came out, and they said they didn't know what I was talking about (with the "Go-Fetch Cards") and further that they didn't have any.

Anyway, now that i've seen the plushies at BestBuy (via: the Weekly Ad), I'm planning on getting TLM there...on the release day. But, to be sure on the price of the DVD (since I went there yesterday, and online Pocahontas was posted as 19.99, but at the store it was 21.99), and also that they WILL be having the plushies at my particular store. But I really hope I can get a Flounder!! :D When I was little, I was always obsessed with Flounder, and I always wanted a plush of him...although I never got one.. :( But that will be ok now! :P

Oh, does anyone who bought LatT at BestBuy know how big the plushies are?? The ones for TLM actually look like they're pretty good quality! (which is ANOTHER reason i'm opting for a Flounder plush!)

Thanks!

I always buy my DIsney DVDs at Target when they first come out. I can't however with TLM because I already preordered at the Disney story. :)

I love Target because they do not have those annoying Snapshut DVD Cases!

Here is a picture of the Best Buy gift set:

This is what I will be getting as a Disney pin collector. I'm very excited. I hope this comes with the Flounder plush as well. They also have the soundtrack listed for only $11.99. I might double dip on that as well.

Hey goofystitch, how did you manage to get a good and clear picture of the pin set? Do you have one of the plushies as well?
