I finally saw the movie theatrically today, since it was released theatrically in Norway. Unfortunately they only had the Norwegian version, but either way; I liked the film. It was better than the melodramatic "Secret of the Wings". My problems with "Pirate Fairy" were that the pacing was too rushed and too much story for a little amount of screen-time. Otherwise, the film was fine. I liked the songs by the pirates and the animation was good. Zarina was a dimensional character and the segments with the baby crocodile were cute. Not to mention that Captain Hook seemed almost nice at some parts. The cameo of Mr. Smee was fun, but I wished there was more of Clank, Bubble, Terrence and the other fairies. Not the best in the franchise, but a good effort.

I just saw it and I must say I'm quite in love with it. And what an improvement over 'Tinker Bell and the Secret of the Wings' (I didn't like the last third of that film)! And 'Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy' not only paid tribute to 'Peter Pan', but also referenced a lot of the first four films in the Disney Fairies franchise. Remember how much Vidia despised the tinker fairies in 'Tinker Bell'? I adored how her character developed here! In my opinion, it was as good as 'Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure' and 'Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue'. And I hope we get to see the mermaids in a future film!

P. S. The score was amazing! My favourite piece was the one playing when Zarina was packing.

I still can't believe her invention was powerful enough to throw the seasons out of balance... It was so difficult to swallow that. They should have thought of something else for the ending. The last minutes were fine, though.

Okay. I disliked the melodramatic aspect of the third half. Not a bad film, but definitively the weakest of the "Tinker Bell" bunch.

It seems as you and I have the same favorites. I thought "The Lost Treasure" was the best one in the series as well.

Thats so funny. I love these films, and Secret of the Wings is my favorite fairy film by far. Its probably because i love films involving sisters, and I also happen to love winter and snow environments. So i'll admit those two things were enough for me, and everything else was extra.

Just watched The Pirate Fairy. I thought Zarina's character would be less.. bubbly. But she was still great. I did enjoy it and loved the score and the pirate song. Absolutely loved the opening; it was my favorite part.

Loved seeing peri and gliss and the winter fairies in this for a little bit too.

I wouldn't put "The Pirate Fairy" among my favorites, but I liked it better than "Secret of the Wings". So it was still a good movie.

What are your thoughts about the first film in the series?

It's wonderful too and appreciate it even more when I think about its troubled production. Thank God for John Lasseter! And I think it had a nice story and the best songs.

The Pirate Fairy premiered in Paris securing the first place at the box office on its opening day.

During its premiere in Paris, the American animated film The Pirate Fairy blew the competition away. The attracted 1,433 spectators in 20 theaters. However, it is starting well below than the previous Secret of the Wings who had attracted 2,097 people in 16 theaters in October 2012. It's only the 23rd best launch of 2014.

The Pirate Fairy took the second place at the box office. After a very good start in Paris on April 2, it sold 259,292 tickets in its first week. It sold almost as much as Secret of the Wings did which drew 260,050 viewers in seven days and quickly reached 1 million. We can therefore expect the same success for the new Tinker Bell film.
