I've never understood the anti-Bieber that people have. If he shows up on an episode I'll watch it to see what they do and not really care that it's Bieber centered. I'm not a huge Britney fan, yet I enjoyed her episode, the same goes for Rocky Horror. Perhaps Bieber (IF he does show up. Cause let's face it's still just rumor?) willl follow in their footsteps for me. *shrugs*

That was my initial reaction, but if done right, a cover song could be pulled off. Just look at how Glee's Toxic turned out!

Meh. I'm liking Glee less and less; and I was one of those people who have been supporting the show since the premiere episode two years ago. I won't mind if he shows up, but a tribute episode? I don't even think they can pull it off, so I'm thinking it will got hat far. The good news is that he has a condition: Cheryl Cole in the same episode, that I would love.

I'm pretty sure that this is false (I'm praying that it is). I read that Murphy stated there wouldn't be anymore tribute episodes. And if there would be, the first choice would be Elton John. Though, that was awhile ago. But if they're really going to give her a tribute episode, they should at least get her name right: Justine. ()

Am I the only one hoping for just one more tribute episode: A Disney one? Please please please!

I don’t really get the Bieber hate either. He’s on the same level as all the other subpar people out there (Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Kei$ha), and much better than anything that’s come out of Disney’s tween factory. That being said, I don’t understand how he could have a tribute episode when he’s only had 1 or 2 songs that I even know of (“Baby,” “Down to Earth,” “One Less Lonely Girl” are all I’ve heard).

On the bright side, whenever Glee does a crappy artist, they always blow them out of the water with their much greater versions. Hoping they do that for Perry's "Firework." :P

I wonder if Glee is being pressured to do music that's hot right now. I'm sure they want to do more modern stuff instead of only classics, but I would think--if they had control--they would want to have a balance of old and new. But maybe they're having mostly new this season v. the mostly old songs from last season (I think that was mentioned in one episode).

I've also heard a lot of people complain about the guest stars on other sites, but, to me, Burnett and Paltrow have just played characters that they probably would've had to cast anyway (Sue's mom and a sub; Andrews is playing a relative of Kurt's). And all the ones from last year are reappearing, showing they aren't just one-ep characters that just let people guest star. I don't get the problem. It seems much ado about nothing. The only genuine flaw that I've seen people mention is that Kurt has been getting too much screentime, at the expense of other bg characters. I've heard some argue that, well, Lea sings the most because she's the best singer, so it's not a big deal that Colfer, the best actor, acts the most. Hmm...

I think the Bieber hate comes from the fact that he is an example of manufactured musical acts. Technically, many artists fit the bill better than Bieber. But the fact that he is still a kid, is extremely attractive and, most importantly, getting ALL of this attention makes him a certified hate bait.

I mean, he is getting A FREAKING 3D MOVIE! Not even Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus got a 3D movie that quickly. His story also sounds like the typical child star story: Mother saw potential in him and is exploiting the HELL out of him.

Seriously, if this keeps up in a few years we will see the Behind the Music telling the tragic end of his career and the fallout he had with his mother. I ain't even kidding here. Unless Bieber manages to surpass his child like status once he reaches adulthood his story is going to be a very sad one.

Perez Hilton got it straight from the horse's mouth, Ryan Murphy: Glee NOT Doing A Justin Beiber Episode!
Contrary to false reports that have been floating online, our beloved Glee is not doing a Justin Bieber- themed episode.

The show's creator and executive producer, Ryan Murphy, exclusively tells PerezHilton.com, "Glee is NOT doing a Justin Bieber tribute episode. We are not doing any more of those this season. Those are reserved for artists with a big catalogue, ala Madonna and Britney, etc."

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Beliebers!

BUT, there is some good news!

Justin's music WILL be featured in an upcoming episode!

Explains Murphy, "We are doing an episode where Sam sings a JB song to win Quinn back…and copies his hairstyle, etc. But it's a small part of a big episode that has a LOT of other things going on."

And there you have it, folks!
And Glee fans around the world give a collective sigh of relief.

I know this is late, but did anyone think it was...wrong of Mr. Shuester to give Bieste her first kiss? Because usually when people do that, the person they kiss thinks that the person who kissed them likes them, or they start to like the person who kissed them in that way and can get very attached. I mean, that was her first, first kiss! Like that wouldn't have any effect on her?

Yes, I think I have to agree. I remember watching that scene and getting a little angry when they picked that route, especially after Beiste goes on that monolouge about a first kiss being a "gateway" and all, when obviously this kiss wasn't going to be that for either one of them (except to a great friendship, I guess). I also think it sort of ruins the poignancy of the moment, and in my head it would have been better if Shue had actually leaned in to kiss her but Beiste pushes him away, saying he's not the "one." Then you could have built it up in subsequent episodes to make her first kiss more satisfying and actually romantic.

Chris Colfer just won a Golden Globe!! :D

It was a great moment, I thought it was especially sweet how touched the cast was, Lea was crying!

I'm very happy Glee won Best TV Series - Comedy or Musical! I wish Lea and Matt could have won, as well, but it's okay. They're totally both deserving.

Jane Lynch's talent is wasted on this show. "Glee" could carry on without if they ever come up with a decent writer and give Lynch her own series. When I do watch "Glee" and that isn't very often, it is only to her. She just chews up the scenery in every scene.

I really will now will avoid "Glee" like the plague it is on television after the Golden Globes last night.

That's great news! Jane Lynch and Colfer are very deserving! Though I would've liked Michele and Morrison to get awards, too, I don't think they are as strong as the former two (maybe they'll get awards in future years when the competition isn't quite as tough).

And I'm actually surprised the show won Best Comedy/Musical. I was expecting MF or something to win, what with all the outcry. I'm glad though.

BEST NEWS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's no new GLEE episodes until February 8th!!!!

Maybe by then I will be able to free up the space on my DVR by canceling the recording of this show. I only watch a few minutes of the show each week, just the scenes with Jane Lynch, my favorite lesbo.

:D
