Best Buy looks to be the best bet in this case. Best price and the most discs. I like the big treasure chest set, esp since I don't have any of the others on Bluray at all. But that is a lot of money. Maybe someone will make a good deal on that 9 disc set that they had?

Now I really don't know what to buy. I have the 5 disc combo preordered from Amazon and it's currently at $20.99 (with the $8 coupon); Best Buy then has an extra BD for only $21.99, which is definitely appealing. I guess I'll just have to wait until tomorrow to see if anyone posts what is on the Best Buy exclusive BD and then proceed from there. I don't know when the Amazon one will ship, though. Any suggestions?

Okay, really. Does the regular combo pack come with two Blu-ray discs and one DVD? Or is it one BD-disc and one DVD? Because I really REALLY don't plan on getting the 3D pack anytime soon.

The regular combo pack is one Blu-ray disc and one DVD disc only. The only way to get the second Blu-ray disc is to buy the 3D combo. Hope this helps. :)

The Target deal looks most appealing to me because of the LEGO involvement. I am currently playing the LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean game and since they are including a miniature LEGO model of the Black Pearl plus the "LEGO Mini Adventures disc" I think that using the coupon and getting the whole thing, even though I will never use the 3-D disc, might be a good deal for the price.

Then I just looked at the Toy R Us ad and that clock looks pretty cool also.

Will wait until tomorrow (Tuesday) and since we have nine Wal-Mart stores, three Best Buy stores, and only one Toy R Us I am going to cruise around and then make my decision as to which one to purchase.

Really only want to buy "Star Wars Clone Wars Season Three" tomorrow, but we will see.

Didn't really like "On Stranger Tides" as well as the other films.

Cars 2 is going to be the same way. Its probably a way for Disney to sell more 3D releases. At least we still get coupons for them.

Anyway I'm going to pickup the 6 disc release at Best Buy in the morning. I don't have 3D, and I don't use for the digital copies... Still for $21.99 I'll get a Blu-ray and DVD of the movie, and 2 Blu-ray bonus discs. Good deal in my opinion.

I'm doing the same thing & have already ebayed the 3D & digital copy discs. I will actually get the 3 blu ray & 1 dvd discs & make a few bucks on the deal (even after paying ebay, paypal & shipping fees on the 2 discs I presold). :D

All of the 3D combo packs at my Best Buy had the bonus disc with them. The movie is in a 6 disc Blu-ray case, instead of the disc being in a sleeve, or attached to the package.

There are 5 features on the exclusive disc...

Organizing A Mutiny - 5 min 13 sec
Two Jacks - 3 min 52 sec
Sculpting Mermaids - 5 min 9 sec
Johnny and Judi - 2 min 59 sec
The Wild Boar - 3 min 1 sec

Does the extra disc have disc art then? If so I don't know whether to be impressed or more dissapointed that Disney couldn't release a 2-disc Blu-ray. lol

Yes, the exclusive disc has disc art. The only discs without art are the DVD, and Digital Copy.

20 minutes of extras isn't worth the extra money, so I'll pass on this. In fact I have decided to pass on this and just wait a couple of days for it to show up at CD Tradepost and I can get it for less than half the price.

The 3D combo actually costs less than getting just the BD/DVD combo. I don't see how someone is paying more for it...?

With the coupon at Best Buy the 6 disc set is $1 cheaper than the 2 disc set. The Best Buy bonus disc only has the 5 features listed above, but there are more on the other bonus disc.

What is on the bonus disc that comes with the four movie mega set? I'm reading something about a short film? Also, what is this "LEGO Mini Adventures disc" that was posted? Thanks.

'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' Tops Home Video Charts
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/p ... rts-253805
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment won’t be releasing Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on stand-alone DVD until Nov. 15, but sales of the Blu-ray Disc edition, released last week, were strong enough to send the fourth installment in the fantasy franchise to a No. 1 debut on the national home video sales charts for the week ending Oct. 23.

Granted, the Blu-ray Disc combo pack includes a DVD, but the tiered release is seen as an attempt to push consumers toward Blu-ray, which offers a far better picture and is compatible with high-definition TVs.

Pirates debuted at No. 1 on both the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart, which tracks overall disc sales, and the Blu-ray Disc-only chart.

On both fronts, Pirates displaced high-profile predecessors in the top sales spot – Warner's Green Lantern on First Alert, and Disney’s The Lion King on the Blu-ray Disc chart. Green Lantern slipped to No. 2, besting Sony Pictures’ Bad Teacher, which debuted at No. 3. On the Blu-ray Disc chart, The Lion King slipped to No. 3, while Green Lantern remained at No. 2 for the second consecutive week. Bad Teacher bowed at No. 4.

Thanks for that info. I always wonder how the Disney Blu-ray/DVDs sell and it's not easy finding a good source for that information.
