The Fix and the Hound had a better transfer (not different!!) on the 2 movie collection but other thatn that, I think every release has been the same.The_Iceflash wrote:
Besides, have other countries gotten different transfers than domestically before?
you'll have to take my word for it.. For the time bein at least.The_Iceflash wrote: Pics for proof?
not really. The bitrate was a little higher on the 2 movie-release, but there is absolutely no visible difference- even in direct shot by shot comparison.Lnds500 wrote:The Fix and the Hound had a better transfer (not different!!) on the 2 movie collection...The_Iceflash wrote:

I haven't seen a direct comparison so I can't comment on that...Scamander wrote:not really. The bitrate was a little higher on the 2 movie-release, but there is absolutely no visible difference- even in direct shot by shot comparison.
BD rip. Saw it for myself. Same colours, same mistakes. I can post pictures if you like but I prefer to do so when I have the BD on my hands.Marce82 wrote:Hey LndsS500,
How do you know its the same transfer? Where did you read it? Or do you know someone at Disney? Or what?
TLM will probably have a new restoration and I expect it's gonna be big because of the 3D re-releaserodis wrote:I currently have zero anticipation for The Little Mermaid. I feel like I'm gonna be so disappointed next year as it's my fav DAC and Disney is getting cheaper with each release.
I hope so, 'casue I really want to see it go through a thorough restoration (I know some here are allergic to this term but it *can* use a little grain reduction and such).Lnds500 wrote:TLM will probably have a new restoration and I expect it's gonna be big because of the 3D re-releaserodis wrote:I currently have zero anticipation for The Little Mermaid. On the netMarce82 wrote:Hey Lnds500.... Im not questioning the veracity of your claim. Just curious: where did you find the BD rip????
It was uploaded a few days ago, it doesn't have interlacing problems like most HDTV rips and it's from a "team" famous for providing early leaks (amiable). Ok now? If you want don't trust my judgment on the issue either wait for the BD or download the rip yourself.Marce82 wrote:Oh God...
Yes, Lnds, I know you found it on the net. What I am asking is, who was hosting the file so that you can be sure it is the legitimate version Disney will use for the BD...
As I said, you should have been more specific if you were looking into a more specific answer. What would you answered to that question. "i googled and I found a bd rip". simpleMarce82 wrote:HEy Lnds,
I wasnt saying I didnt believe your claim. I think you might be right, but none of us can be sure of anything until the BD comes out anyway.
And I'M the smart-ass??? I asked where you downloaded something from, and you answered "the web"??? AND IM THE SMARTASS???
colours don't change though. resolution and artifacts are heavily affected but colours remain the same in 99,9999% of the rips.271286 wrote:You can probably tell weather or not the transfer is the same as the PE... but until a true BD rip leaks it's not really fair to judge the quality of the transfer as for detail anyways... As far as I know the largest leaked file is around 6GB which is nowhere near the same quality as the BD will have...
