3.50 is the latest PS3 firmware.

It appears that the skipping in the documentary is common. I guess another round of firmware updates will be released to fix it.

That sucks. I moved and no longer have a router. How does one get the update without their PS3 being online? Can you put the update on a disc? If so, from where and what kind of discs can you use? If I can't use something I have handy, I can't do it because I'm broke. *sigh* Any advice would be appreciated.

Ok, this is just screwy now. I downloaded the new firmware update for my player and disc 2 won't even play any now. Disc 1 takes forever to load, also.

Disc 2 says "playback feature may not be available on this disc".

EDIT: Now disc 2 is finally loading...this is just crazy. Maybe it's got something to do with there being so much content on the discs, but I thought Blu discs were supposed to hold a lot.

Well, I just got back from watching the Blu-ray, and I gotta say they actually managed to add in the original colors in a lot of scenes. :)

Granted, in some scenes, Belle's hair looked like a reddish-brown. But that's besides the point.

All I can say is that I'm glad I got the Blu-ray. :)

You can go on the Playstation site and I believe you can DL the latest firmware update there.

Hope this helps! :)

So pleased for you guys to have gotten hold of the Diamond Edition ! I still have to wait until Nov 1st :x

I still dont know what copy to buy of the Diamond; I dont have Blu player yet, but I do intend to get one at some point in the future. So logic would dictate I get the Combo pack, BUT I already have the previous 'Special Edition' on DVD; so essentially would I have the same thing twice, while I wait for a Blu player ?

Or do I just splurge and get the 2 Disc Collectors Book Edition and ask for the Blu for Christmas ??!

Is anyone getting the sense that certain stores have been hard to deal with lately?

Maybe it's just because I had trouble at Walmart, but they seem to be slipping. A few posters here are mentioning that they didn't even see Tangled movie tickets stickers on ANY of the copies at Walmart. Seeing as though that would have been an incentive to go to Walmart (it was exclusive to the store) that's a shame.

When I went to my local Walmart (which I usually avoid but decided to go for the Tangled ticket), the staff in the video department weren't even aware that the title was released in two different packages (Blu-ray case/DVD case). After pointing out that they had an empty spot where the Blu-ray cases WERE (they had had maybe 12? wow), the guy just told me to get the DVD case (they had tons) because they were the same price and "What's the difference?" Well, the difference was that as the consumer with money in my hand, I was looking to buy the specific item I came for. Therefore, I took my business to Toys R Us which was well stocked and had a friendly and helpful staff.

I think I'm going to stick with Toys R Us from now on. They pretty much set the bar with this release starting at a sale price of $22.99 and still allowing us to use the $10 coupon. The store was pretty empty, which surprised me, so I'll try to give them my business when possible.

Now it's Paige doing the speaking, and Susan doing the singing.

Wal-Mart usually stocks late night/wee hours of the morning. The employees you saw probably didn't do any stocking and may have been clueless. I don't know if they are given a list of new releases. Many employees don't take enough interest in their products, it's just a paycheck to them. My husband worked at a Blockbuster for the past 2 years and customers always asked for him by name because he kept up with the movies, gave honest opinions, was helpful, etc. But not everyone in retail is that dedicated.

Be glad you have a Toys R Us and/or other options nearby. I just discovered where our nearest Toys R Us is so I may check it out sometime probably closer to Christmas for shopping.
I was pretty unhappy with the Wal-Mart customer service for the most part near our last home so I'm just glad the one we live by now seems to have a friendlier staff. It makes a huge difference in a shopping experience.

ok the Human again sequence...

It's a GREAT song and it's beautifully animated...however with Something There and "Beauty and the Beast" right after it I felt it was just "too much" in too little time...

Watching bonus features tonight anything that I should espically watch? I NEVER watched bonus features until recently...

I always felt Something There and Beauty and the Beast were the highlight of the movie because the story flows so well there. Human Again on the other hand is not on par and way too long. When I was watching the film with a friend (including Human Again), he remarked when BATB (the song) started "way too many songs in this film" (it's his first time watching it since the early 90s). And I agree, even if it's only one more song, it just mars the great flow of the original.

Unlike Lion King's Morning report it's actually a GOOD song...however the way it's inserted is just too too many songs I just think that beauty and the beast starting a minutes or two after is crazy.

I think it depends. Paige is based in Vegas so she's not always available. Plus, the producers of those Princess CDs seem to love Susan. :)

The deleted scenes are worth viewing. That alternate opening is soooo different, it made me kinda want to see that become a fully realized version of the story. Maybe another studio could do it? Seriously, it even looked more like an English setting than French.

anyway, the documentary is good, very good and seamless when you choose features within it. it has the index too, of course. But only if you can deal with infrequent silencing and skipping. Of note, the deleted scenes from the old DVD are in HD here.
