Duncan Studio didn't do the animation for Enchanted; James Baxter Animation did which is now defunct. People often confuse the two because both studios were founded by veteran Disney animators who provided services for animated/live-action hybrid films for Disney (Enchanted and Mary Poppins Returns.) Hopefully, Duncan Studio will pick up the mantle for the sequel. It's the only studio left that can pull off that high-quality Disney-esque 2D animation.

Oh, it's true. I had forgotten about it. I also hope they commission the animation to Duncan Studio this time.

Disenchanted just announced to be a Disney+ Original with Amy Adams returning!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I hope we get confirmation that the rest of the cast is returning soon.

Well, now that it`s finally been announced after all these years: I`m glad that it`s finally been announced. But I`m a little bummed out that it`s going to be a Disney+ release. It just seems like it will be a second tier production, which makes me worry about the hand drawn sequences.

Yay! Even if Amy Adams is the only one to return, it would still be worth it. Hopefully Menken will be back, too.

Some people here really thought Godmothered was the Enchanted sequel. This just shows people really don't know what they're talking about.

I wonder why Amy Adams was mentioned and not Patrick Dempsey? Might mean something might not... if he doesn’t return, I would rather they recast him than kill him off (can you imagine Giselle grieving??? God, please no).

I hadn't thought of that. I really hope that's not the case. The animation in Godmothered was so bad. If they don't subcontract the animation to Duncan Studio, it's almost a given it will be subpar.

I think Dempsey expressed interest in returning in the past. I'm confident that if he was asked, he'll be back. I hope they aren't killing his character off for story reasons. That would be so stupid and not at all in line with the tone of the original. Interestingly, that was to be Carrie's storyline in the cancelled Sex and the City 3.

hey I never said Godmothered was the Enchanted sequel! I said they canned the sequel and just made that instead.

And Im glad I was wrong! Now just pleeeease have James Marsden return as well!

Perhaps it might be a cost-cutting thing. If Giselle is going to be divorced and she's not getting back together with him in the plot, then they don't really need to show him onscreen. Amy Adams is really the only actor that's absolutely required for a sequel to work and so her check is the only one they would be willing to pay a sizeable amount for.

This is my favorite of the recent Disney news so far. Please let the animation be as beautiful as the first one had, and all the original cast, except maybe Susan Sarandon.

It's a shame they didn't ask him to direct the sequel when it seems he would've been willing to do it. If he was the director I would be much more confident it would be a good film.
