^Thanks for posting the source,
D82! Even if Disney will have it deleted in a couple of hours.

Is everyone allergic to turbans in this remake? Jafar isn't wearing one, Aladdin in his Prince Ali get-up isn't wearing one...
Here's another picture (this one includes Abu) from the same site.

These latest pictures don't look like they come from a big-budget movie. I know people were complaining about that from the earlier Entertainment Magazine cover, but it's especially evident here.
Maybe with the turbans, they're just not using them for promotional pictures because they obscure the actors' faces too much. Like how when it comes to the Marvel posters, they avoid Iron Man's helmet and Captain America's mask so that the actors are visible.

I'm still hopeful about Jafar. Good for the Scream Queens actress getting cast in a film.

Navid Negahban, who plays the Sultan, talks a little bit about his role in the movie at the beginning of this video:

You were right,
Sotiris. The website has already been taken down.

So umm, why was it predicable it was going to get taken down? What were they doing wrong?

^Disney is monitoring this board for leaks and copyright infringement. That's a fact, not an assumption. Whenever something gets posted here that isn't from a trade or their official accounts, it gets deleted very quickly no matter how small or innocuous it is.

What even was deleted? I haven't noticed anything missing.

They can't delete the images embedded or info quoted here. They just have the source of those images or information removed. In this thread alone, they have removed the source D82 posted in the previous page and the sources I posted for the Hot Topic T-shirts, the Blue Genie mug, and the Instagram cast photo.

Yeah I’m a little surprised by these to be honest. It’s like they took the animated version and meshed her with the live action version. Because as of now, her hair looks nothing at all like that in the production shots we’ve seen. I love the design though. And I’m so excited to see all this actually in motion and through the lens and not just these terrible on set photos and promo images which are always bad for any film. Marketing should ramp up here starting with the Super Bowl, so it’s time to get excited!

His face is completely expressionless.
Here's the source of the images:

I think that he's not supposed to be "scary;" I mean, the Sultan trusts him, has no reason to think that Jafar's a bad guy, right? It's a more...internal kind of evil? Don't judge a book by its cover kind of thing. Gaston doesn't look scary, either.

I think that photo of Jafar was from early tests and perhaps that's why he's expressionless. Early, unpolished material are usually send to the publishing and merchandising departments due to time constraints.

So, we are doing the dirty job for them finding all these leaks so they can delete them. We should get paid by Disney for that!

They also deleted some photos of Will Smith as the genie
I posted some pages back.

That's possible, but he's also expressionless in the still EW released some time ago. Anyway, these are just two still images. We'll have to wait to see some actual footage to better judge his acting.

I’m certain this article has been probably been posted somewhere and I missed it, but this information definitely was not discussed and gives more insight into the new music and what I’m assuming will be the overall sound of the movie as well. I figured with Pasek and Paul we’d be getting a slightly more pop-infused sound to the music, and this definitely makes it sound like it’ll be the case.
Jasmine gets her own solo number on "Speechless," with music by Menken and lyrics by the Oscar-winning "La La Land" songwriting team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The Adele-style power ballad is a very emotional "belter," Scott says. "It's a punch in the face. Let's put it this way, it's the hardest song I've ever sung in my entire life."
Scott says "Speechless" is about Jasmine finding her own voice and the courage to speak out for her people. "I mean, how timely is that? (Jasmine's) not perfect. She doesn't get it right all the time. It's just showcasing that she gets to a point where, 'It's not going to be easy and I may lose this fight, but I need to step up.'

It actually wasn't. So thanks for posting it! Menken is writing the music but it's quite possible we was influenced by their music sensibilities or songwriting approach. In any case, I can't wait for Jasmine's song.

I love power ballads so I'm pretty excited for this. I hope Disney will give it a strong promotion so it'll break through the charts and collect some awards.

Oh good! And I’m sure if Menken is working with Pasek and Paul, it’ll be a huge hit. Greatest Showman was all over the charts, and Never Enough was a critical hit (and was Adele inspired as well), so there’s definitely a chance this could chart and be a rather large hit with critics as well. With Menken’s beloved name and Pasek and Paul being the hot new thing in the musical world, I have very high hopes.

Anyone else finding it supremely strange that we are less than 4 months out til the release and we still don’t have a full trailer or anything beyond a teaser poster? I know this year is a crowded slate but this is one of the oddest marketing strategies I’ve seen.
I’m assuming we’ll get a full trailer at the Grammy’s since we didn’t at the Super Bowl. Why they felt the need to give Toy Story a trailer at the Super Bowl which has a guaranteed audience instead of Aladdin which seems to be quite a risk, I’ll never understand. You’d think they’d wanna debut their Genie for the biggest audience of the year on tv, and get people talking, but nope.

Yeah, that is odd behavior. Maybe Disney is fearing that the film will flop after all the negative feedback it's gotten. Even now, I was reading some article that people are offended by Will Smith's portrayal of the Genie.
