Last night (Sunday) Disney Channel presented Selena Gomez's new music Vid, Cruella De Vil, this verison is quite different, Selena's voice suits the tone that she selected (Pop/Rock) and it's has a catchy tune, I aboustly think it's pretty fun.

Thanks Mason_Ireton, I missed the premiere of the music video, so I'm glad I was able to see it on YouTube. Wow, that was an amazing video. Selena Gomez really made this the best cover of Cruella De Vil I heard in a long time (referring to the Disneymania covers of the song). I am so excited for this DVD; It's the only Platinum I have been waiting for. 101 Dalmatians is my favorite film (before Sleeping Beauty) and Cruella is my favorite Disney character (yes, even before Aurora). Less than a month to go!

I like the Dr. John version, too. But he's not under contract with Disney (I doubt they paid Selena as much as they would have Dr. John), and the average Disney Channel tween viewer doesn't care about Dr. John, but maybe the music video will be a good marketing tool for them to want to get the DVD (I mean, the movie itself should be, but you never know)...

It's probably the best of the "Dinsey Channel Stars" covers of classic songs. I'm not loving it, but for once I don't hate it. Not like when I heard "Poor Unfortunate Souls" sung by the "you can hear the computer altering our voices" Brothers. *shudders*

Is 101 matted (widescreen) or not?

I like what they did to the song, but I think it runs too long. They turned a one minute song into 3:30, so I got bored with it fast.

The press release says it is 4:3 Full screen. Personally, I wish they would have included both versions.

Thanks for posting that 2099net! This looks like it’s going to be a great release especially since we have a packed first disc (although most of it is fluff). Since the game is on the first disc, I assume that the second disc will have more room for real, informative bonus features and not allot of fluff. What surprises me is that Selena Gomez's new music video is not featured on the first disc, and that a "real" bonus feature, 'Cruella De Vil: Drawn To Be Bad' is on the first disc. I am also upset that the Cruella segment is only seven minutes long.

Speaking of the discs, I was sent an e-mail from someone named Diego. He had found an image of the disc art and asked me to pos t it here. Here is a glimpse of the disc art (which uses the style of the original cover art). It also looks like Cruella was removed from the spine.

The disc art looks pretty good, from what we can see. I'm glad it doesn't look like "The Jungle Book" or "The Little Mermaids" disc arts. I am really hoping that Cruella has been taken off the spine. I think Pongo is much more deserving of that spot. Not that I don't LOVE Cruella. However, this looks like it is a foreign release, and sometimes their cover arts and disc arts vary. Hopefully in the states we will get good disc art with Pongo on the spine.

Wow, I'm amazed at all the features that they already have packed on the first disc. I assumed stuff like trailers and the featurettes on Dodie Smith and Walt would be on the second disc.

I really can't wait until March 4th. 101 Dalmatians is one of my favorite Disney films, along with most of the animated Disney films from the 50s and 60s, and Snow White and Pinocchio. The only copy I have of it is an old VHS from 93, and I can't wait to finally now own it on DVD.

I'm not sure that these are all on the first disc. Sometimes the BBFC get stuff just as it is sent over - it doesn't have to be "on" the finished product. We know this because sometimes stuff is certified which isn't included on the final disc.

As for the music video, its possible the UK will get a different one, or not get one at all. Sometimes the US centric pop acts aren't transferred to the overseas discs.

12 trailers! This set's made for you Scapsta! Anyway, I'm glad to see such good content (after all they had a whole extra year to work on it). The extended version of "dalmatian plantation" sounds fun.
