Great episode last night~ I wish there were two more episodes left rather than one.
I’m thinking that at least Hook'll end up in Storybrooke, with maybe Cora detained in some way. From the previews, Rumple and Regina have their plan to kill whoever comes through, so I’m thinking Hook’ll probably be the first to come through since
they seem to be hinting that he can’t die, presumably because of the Never Land connection, I suppose.
I feel like this show has so much going on, that it almost needs 2 hours a week. At 1 hour, it just feels like it goes by too fast.

Yea this show is getting even greater and greater.
But you know, Hook really needs his signature plumed hat. He needed it from the beginning. He's not Disney's Hook without it.

I don't know about exact figures and so on, but arent the viewing figures either going up this season as it is playing or holding every strong each Sunday ? I obviously find this wonderful news as I love the show, but must be a massive positive for us as the future of the show must be secure ?

I believe there was drop on the last two episodes (from 10 to 8-9 million)--imo, because the Red episode was so irrelevant. But I'm sure it'll be back up for the winter finale and the return in January. The season average is still very good, regardless. I don't think the show'll be going anywhere for a few years.

^agreed, though bringing king george back could make for some great conflict and the last episode while largely irrelevant had its moments.
Tomorrow's episode is titled "Queen of Hearts" so that's definitely gonna tie in with Quorra probably being the actual QoH.

The winter finale was the best episode of the season. For the second part of the season, I'm hoping they'll reunite Emma with Henry's father, Neal.

Yeah, im sure they will, since neal was the guy we saw at the very beginning of this season.
Anyway, this was a very satisfying episode.

So the episode you guys are talking about is the mid-season break ? Was it a cliff-hanger or conclusive .... ?
I guess the only advantage of getting the season later on, is the fact there will be no gaps in it, just a straight run through.

I wouldn't say it was a total cliff-hanger, and it did wrap up a lot.
Spoilers
Mary Margaret and Emma Made it back, and Mary Margaret awoke Prince Charming, after Emma and Mary Margaret were saved from Regina. However Mulan returned Aurora's heart to her, and now they are going to get Phillip back, and we see that Corra and Hook do come to Story Brooke. So it's a cliff hanger in that point. I am glad they wrapped up Emma and Mary Margaret returned, and awoke Prince Charming.

I was a little meh, but still enjoyed it. I was thinking last night,
now that Cora and Hook are in Storybrooke, how the show will maintain suspense? The first season really operated on the, "Will Emma break the Curse?" the entire season. The first half of the 2nd has focused on how Emma and co. will return/what will happen if Cora gets to the real world, so I wonder where we'll go from here.
Anyway, I know there was a new snippet amidst the old clips after the show was over of
Regina blasting fire again, "You will not take my son!" Anyone think Emma will start throwing crap back at her now that she has powers of her own?
I wonder if they'll ever increase the Blue Fairy's role as an alternate to the dark magic?

I enjoy the mid-season finale, but wonder what they have in store for the second half of the season? I really thought certain store lines would go on longer then they seem to have.

^of course, storylines going on longer always run the risk of stretching thin. This way, they can keep things consistently interesting.

I was surprised to see this show is loosely inspired by an actual book.

What's the name of the book?

I wanna know about that book too, but I also wanted to say, I felt, from mostly it's beginning, that the whole split-up of Emma, Snow, and everyone was done just to stretch out some time. The things we discovered along the way were great, but the main storyline, everyone needs to get back to each other, felt lazy to me. As did making Phillip lose his soul to a wraith right after he kisses Aurora awake. "Oh no, the obstacles are done! Better come up with another one even if its not a natural, organic progression of the current plot! I know, let's split them up...again!"
I also want to know, remember the episode where Henry and Dr. Hopper are trapped in the mine? And Regina finds a piece of broken glass? And it's from all these pieces of glass deep in the mine? Did we ever find out what any of that was?

I'm not sure if that was supposed to be the magic they found in the mine recently or not.
If it isn't, then I'm sure they'll get to it eventually as the characters continue to look for a way to get back to the fairy tale world.

Once Upon a Time. And the cover showed a flat graphic of a castle in the enchanted forest, with a lake beneath reflecting a contemporary city.
But it does claim to be a collection of stories, but that's enough to get me wondering. They always push this as an original show on the DVD, so maybe the book was inspired by the series. We'll have to look it up.

Emma sees that when she goes to fight the dragon, so it might be something to do with maleficent.

Sorry
ajmrowland but you must have missed that that book is released by the creators of Once Upon a Time:
So it's not based on the book, it's just the same old original fairy tales with new illustrations and a forward by the makers of Once Upon a Time.

The magic only came after Rumplestiltskin made it come back, and when it came back it was in the form of diamonds, not glass shards.

I don't remember that...but if that's true, good, I'm glad they didn't mess up and present something they never continued with.

I dont know how many people know this, but the glass thing in the mines is Snow White's coffin.
