I don't see why it wouldn't be.

Some Disney DVDs in the past haven't been and I hear Tarzan got botched to some degree. I assume for TP it would be, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Treasure Planet was a digital-to-digital transfer on DVD. It wouldn't make sense for them to pass it to film and then on Blu-ray when they can skip the second step. Tarzan had a terrible encoding that had nothing to do with a film transfer.

Still waiting for my Pocahontas blu-ray from DMC, even though it shipped out a week ago according to the email notification. DMC takes so long to process orders and ship items. I'm still waiting for a credit from something I returned almost 2 months ago. I guess I'm just spoiled by amazon.
I shouldn't really complain, if not for this exclusive, I'd be waiting till August 21st, but nevertheless I was hoping it'd be in the mail today as I'm working every night the rest of this week.

I haven't seen the Roger Rabbit shorts. Can anybody confirm whether WDAS animated in the elaborate, 24fps Richard Williams style of animation, to match the film? Or would such animation have been too expensive for Disney?

The prices for both seem very reasonable considering both Lion King sequels are $35 or over in most stores in Australia.
And 101 Dalmatians has me very excited! In all its forms (Single, Double movie pack and Blu Ray set) it seems to come with 2 DVD's, which is very unusual, considering we lost slip covers or any sense of added value with our local releases years ago.

Home on the Range and The Great Mouse Detective are even cheaper! I'm hoping this means no double play, the new banners are horrible

I know right. I might as well import from the UK if I want those plastered all over the front. Pete's Dragon comes out that day too! (OK, I just saw that you wrote that

That seems odd. Isn't that too early? Do you know if this new release date is just for the Cinderella Blu-ray or for the trilogy box set as well?

Sorry, no. But I guess the boxed set will be moved as well. Amazon hasn't updated the entries yet.

I get the sneakiest suspicion that this is all because universal and paramount are stepping up with their catalogs

Just a quick question...did anyone get the UK re-release of
Pinocchio? I already have the Platinum Blu-ray to keep me contented, but I noticed in a store that it listed quite a good number of the previous features on the box. Is this actually a 2 disc release after all?
More news:
-Amazon is still listing
Cinderella for a September 10th release. Odd...
-Amazon has listed
101 Dalmatians for a September 3rd UK release date:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/101-Dalmations- ... 635&sr=1-1
-Still no sign of
The Rescuers, The Great Mouse Detective et al in the UK.
-On a slightly unrelated note, it appears that
Beauty and the Beast, Bambi and
Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 either have been vaulted or are in the process of being made so. For those that don't have any of those movies and want them, I'd act fast and pick them up either in stores or online...

No they messed up, its on the cover but isn't actually included. They didn't even alter the disk as it still mentions that its a platinum title

Ok. Here goes...
101 Dalmatians 1 + 2 are both set for August 20th in Greece.
What's really interesting is that 101 Dalmatians has the Diamond Edition banner. I believe that's an old render cause they called it a "special edition" last time I contacted them. The second page clearly lists the movie as 101 Dalmatians S.E.

Tigger's Movie is also being released on DVD the same day as 101 D, even if the Blu-ray is scheduled for September
