Probably just the 3D Blu-ray and Digital Copy... and a 3D slipcover. That's it. The coupon (if Disney issues one) will probably only be good on the 3D combo pack as well.
The 3-D Combo Pack has:
1 3-D BD
2 Regular BD
1 DVD
1 Digital Copy
Whereas the regular Combo Pack has:
1 BD
1 DVD
So if you want the second BD disc (which will contain bonus features), you have to go with the 3-D combo pack.
But dont be *too* sure. A few combo packs from Disney have exclusive bonuses not on the 1-disc BD.

Johnny Depp close to deal for fifth 'Pirates' movie
July 5, 2011, 6:42 PM EST
By Joshua L. Weinstein
TheWrap
EXCLUSIVE
Johnny Depp is close to a deal to star in a fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, an individual negotiations told TheWrap.
In May, producer Jerry Bruckheimer said he was working on a fifth Pirates script -- and that he wouldn't make the movie without Depp.
Bing: Depp to star in 'Thin Man' remake
Hopefully, if this one does well, (Depp) will want to come back and play the character again, Bruckheimer told the L.A. Times. But it's going to depend on the screenplay. It always does. He's maniacal about not wanting to disappoint his audience.
"This one" is the fourth installment in the franchise, "On Stranger Tides." And it did do well: This past weekend, it surpassed $1 billion at the global box office.
Apparently, Depp likes what he sees. He's negotiating for the movie.
His agent Tracey Jacobs declined to comment. A Disney spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.
Depp stars as the kohl-eyed, swashbuckling pirate, Capt. Jack Sparrow, in Disney's wildly successful franchise. The first four installments have grossed a total of $3.7 billion.
Depp is key to the franchise's success: Without Capt. Sparrow there's no Pirates.
Depp has been driving huge box office success for Disney for close to a decade.
In addition to Sparrow, he played the Mad Hatter in the studio's 2010 "Alice in Wonderland," which grossed more than $1 billion worldwide. And he's set to star as Tonto for the studio in next year's "The Lone Ranger."

Well, seeing as the fourth one didn't destroy the series, I'm game for a fifth! And of course, more of Mr. Depp.

Are they planning on releasing a DVD-only version of On Stranger Tides or are they going to force those who want just the DVD to buy a combo pack?

Not sure. So far I've only seen the 3 combo packs. They are releasing the 2 disc combo in DVD packaging, so I'm tempted to say that there want be a DVD only release, or it will come at a later date.

Christ, are they really pulling the same "Hold the extras for ransom in an effort to make you upgrade" stunt they did for DVD and Bluray for Blu-Ray and the 3D discs?

At the very least, are the bonus features going to be in 2D blu ray? They gotta be.... why... why otherwise, that'd just be stupid. But hey, I still don't even have a blu-ray player.

The bonus features disc is only in the 5 disc 3D combo pack. The normal 2D combo pack is just 2 discs (1 Blu-ray and 1 DVD).
If its like other 3D combos the only disc that will be 3D is the 3D disc for the movie. The other discs should be 1 Blu-ray for the movie, 1 Blu-ray special features, 1 DVD of the movie, and a digital copy disc.
I noticed that Disney is doing the same thing with the release of Cars 2.

I wonder if in time this franchise will surpass harry potter in terms of financial succes, that's taking into account we don't know wether or not there will be more than five movies. Then there's the merchandise as well. Also, will this infatuation with Johnny Depp never end?

As much as I have enjoyed the POTC series, part of me thinks that now might be the time to leave it as it is. Obviously while they're making as much money as they are Disney are going to squeeze every last penny out of them that they possibly can but that's just what I think.
REINIER wrote:Also, will this infatuation with Johnny Depp never end?
I don't think it will. It's funny that a man who for so much of his career was considered "box office poison" in Depp's words is now one of the most marketable actors on the planet.

I have no issue with the "infatuation" with Johnny Depp. At least he's talented. Not saying I want to see him play Jack Sparrow ten more times, but still.

As will I.
I'm kind of sad that 2 disc DVD's seem to be dead over at Disney. *sigh*

Is anyone considering getting the four movie collection? I'm really wondering what the box and case are made of. I recently got the Lion King Trilogy collection and while it looked nice, I feel like it will wear down very quickly. I can't tell from the images on Amazon what the case is actually made of. It looks like the coin is actually cardboard... I don't know about the chest. I like that there will at least be space to keep the upcoming films in here if I were to take out the digital copies.

I'm not..at least at this time, maybe in the new year I might, depending on the packaging and all. I would wait to see if someone pops up the unboxing or unwrapping the set on youtube. Similar to how packaging unboxing/unwrapping has been done in the past, recently (and obviously) The Lion King Blu Ray Trilogy. I wanted to get the sequels in one buy and I did. I'm housing the 3 regular Blu rays of the Lion King Trilogy in that Best Buy IronPack Steelbook thing. I'll buy some other blu ray cases off ebay next month to house the 3d Blu ray and the 3 DVDs and will do some thinking about how to go about it.
I bought the Pirates 7 disc Trilogy, which is good enough for me. I don't know if they have any new features of the first 3 films that was not on the 7 disc Blu ray Trilogy. Even then It would have to be something good and worth it, but not a first day buy. I am getting Pirates 4 on the 5 disc combo pack....

According to next week's
Target ad posted on blu-ray.com, there is going to be a
$5 coupon good for the 5-disc combo pack. It just hasn't been released yet. I'm sure that when it is it will be posted here.
