I don't like all this talk of updating the classic songs. That makes me uneasy. I didn't mind the new lyrics in the BATB songs since those were some of Ashman's original lyrics but that style of reinvention doesn't seem to be the case here.

I’m wondering if we’re going to see all of the songs get a Greatest Showman, mainstream pop meets Bollywood makeover. At this point it wouldn’t shock me.

I guess Aladdin won't be wearing the--what is it called, not a hat--but what little we see of the Prince Ali disguise, it looks like it'll be good.

I know this is a drawing and the film itself will look different, but I love everything about the picture. So pretty.

Turban crossed my mind, but for some reason I thought turbans had to be wrapped around or something.

It's possible Aladdin will have a turban but removes it before the A Whole New World scene.

Yeah, I like his look there a lot more than from what we've seen in the movie. His hair style is better too in the 2D art.

The cup is pretty. I'm looking to be disappointed by Aladdin's prince outfit now. And the real live-action Jasmine outfit still doesn't look good so the cup is just a pretty facade.

Far better than what I’d imagined we’d end up with, but the smoke bottom’s width is really weird. I’m hoping that this is just an over exaggeration by an artist. It’s just so unbalanced with the bulky top.

Aladdin's prince outfit is looking a little stark for my taste. I was hoping for something more detailed and regal. On the other hand, I think the actor looks much better here than in the other pictures I've seen him in. I guess that makes sense since he would look better as a prince than as a street rat.

Mena Massoud and the Prince Ali outfit look fantastic! They really are playing up the transformation from street rat to prince though, since he looked horrible in the regular clothes we saw in the teaser.

Q: Have you heard if the Genie looks good in CGI?
