Also, I forgot to mention (mainly because the post was long enough as is) that I love disneyfella's idea for a Captain EO Blu-Ray release! It would be great if this was the first in a series of releases dedicated to extinct attractions (sort of like the videos at Extinct Attractions Club, but with Disney's support/cooperation)!

It'll probably be a long time before I ever post another fictional DVD in this thread, though I hope to one day tackle the POTC trilogy, as well as redo Peter Pan again, and maybe update my Beauty and the Beast set.

Disc 1: Main Feature and Technical Crap
-Original 1989 film WITHOUT restoration. I cringe every time I watch Ariel run down those stairs in Eric's castle. Ugh. >.< I know it was 1989, but the movie looks fine on my VHS. Or at least the file my friend sent me, which was probably from the LI.* It makes me want to hurt something. Or fast forward the movie.
-Restored version. Some people might like it. I guess it's okay. But Ariel's hair also happens to look orange on my TV.
-Commentary with crew.
-Commentary with cast. Please dig C.D. Barnes out of whatever hole he crawled into. (Why didn't he show up for TLM2?)
-Sneak peeks.
-OAR.
-EUROPEAN FRENCH, people! Canadian French is nowhere NEAR as beautiful. Putting Canadian French on a DVD instead of European French is like having a Whopper with McDonald's fries.
-Spanish...dub...I have no idea if they use Eu. Spanish on the DVD or not, since I don't speak Spanish all that well.
-Captions for Deaf/Hearing Impaired and French/Spanish subtitles.


Disc 2: I Wanna See, See 'Em Actin'
-Table Reads. Do they do those for Disney movies? I thought they did.
-I think there was something on the PE that had Sherri Stoner (was that her name?) modeling for Ariel during POTW. What about the whole movie? Surely there was more than just THAT scene being choreographed.
-Rehearsals for the songs. Particularly, 'Poor Unfortunate Souls'. I'm sure Jodi and Pat had to get together and work on it. Just a thought.
-How TLM Launched Careers. I have no doubt that TLM, one of the Fab Five, helped move along/launch careers.
-Animatic version of TLM, and perhaps have them for all variations of the script. Well, not ad-libs, but you know, the story changes and such.
-Someone should take the idea for 'The Little Sea-Maid' short (was it ever actually MADE or just planned?) and animate it. While I enjoyed 'Matchgirl', I think they should have done 'Sea-Maid' instead.
-Adding onto the 'animatic' idea, I'd like to see TLM re-animated with the concept art versions.
-Deleted songs could be placed elsewhere. Perhaps 'Silence is Golden' could be somewhat of a 'plotting' song with Flotsam and Jetsam. But I do want to see them fully animated and placed in the film.

Disc 3: Art of Their World.
-A documentary on the art, called 'Art of Their World'. I REALLY want more info on the whole 'outsourcing info' thing. Especially since the bubble effect was almost delayed because of the standoff in China. I want to know how to mix the color 'Ariel'.
-Another documentary. This would explain to some viewers why concept art wasn't used, why certain colors were chosen, etc.
-A FULLY ANIMATED version of the movie using selected concept art (voted on at a site such as 'fantasydisneydvd' or something like that. I dunno. Some Disney domain name though.) True, expensive, but I did say I was quite insane.

Disc 4: Part of The Broadway World
-A FULL version of the Broadway musical, in live action.
-A version of the movie, perhaps re-animating Ursula to look like her Broadway counterpart and, of course, changing the climax ever so slightly, featuring the OBC. Most character animation would stay the same EXCEPT for Ursula. Her new design kicks booty. (Actually, I just love Sherie Rene Scott. How do you NOT love her?)
-A commentary of the ORIGINAL movie by the Broadway cast.
-A commentary of the Broadway-ized movie by the Broadway cast, crew, and ORIGINAL cast. None of these would be translated into another language.
-EXCEPT for a multi-language reel. Not sure what song, though. Maybe 'If Only' or 'Her Voice'.

Disc 5: Ask 'em Some Questions and Get Some Answers!
-'Silence is Not Golden'. Why is it so important that everyone has a voice? Of course we know, but it would be nice to get some other opinions. Also, how would Sherie Rene Scott and Jodi Benson like to help those who cannot speak up?
-'Wish I Could Be'. What is such-and-such-crew-member-or-actor's ultimate wish? Have they got it? Will they get it? Are they working on it?
-'Life is the Bubbles!' What was the BEST part working on TLM/TLMOB? Perhaps video diaries, cast bloopers in the studio and on stage, etc.
-'Childhood Memories'. TLM/Disney memories. Been to Disney World? Met your walkaround counterpart? Tell us about it!
-For the actors: 'Director's Chair'. How would you have made TLM different? Why?
-For the directors: 'Playing Around'. Who would you have wanted to play? Why?
-Disney Today. How is it different now than 20 years ago?

Disc 6: DVD-ROM!
-Your own fandub. Select character, strip their lines, then rerecord them. You can then save the movie onto your computer, and possibly upload to YouTube, like, a special Disney section of YT or something. Perhaps you could dub the entire movie. I dunno.
-1989. Voyager 2, for one thing. I want to know what else happened in 1989. Oh, I was born, too, but Disney doesn't care about that (I think).

Disc 7-12: Deluxe Special Edition Soundtrack - 5-Disc.
-Original.
-Special Edition - with a few new covers. I'd REALLY like to see Aly & AJ do a cover of Poor Unfortunate Souls. Miley did a pretty decent job of POYW. Maybe an extended edition with the reprise. Also, if Idina Menzel did this, I would die. I would so LOVE that. Of course all other covers would be there too.
-Broadway Recording. Also, I'd like to hear Pat Carroll try a hand at singing 'I Want the Good Times Back/Reprise'. And Jodi with 'That World Above' and 'If Only' and 'Wildest Dreamas'.
-...Karaoke.
-And here's the best part! Can't find your movie and can't get on YouTube? Watch the scenes on your DVD player!
-Another language, of your choice, included.

Disc 13: (This is where it gets Yucky/Confusing) Under the Sea Video Game Virtual Tour for Wii, Xbox 360, or PS3. Basically like 'Endless Ocean' for Wii, I guess, where you just sort of dive and swim around and see all the creatures. But maybe you could be in it, like, mid-movie or something and stop such-and-such from happening, which would lead to either a BETTER or WORSE something. Sorta like Choose Your Own Adventure, but better. 'Cause everyone likes video games. All ya gotta do is go to the counter and say 'I have such-and-such system' and they would put it in for you.

Cover: I'd REALLY like to see the TLMOB poster as the coverart. Maybe have Ursula in the same place Narissa is on the Enchanted coverart, and same poster. Y'know. Back cover would have Eric and Triton and Sebastian and Flounder. For the love of God, Sebastian must have white eyes again.

Slipcover: Want a slipcover? Like other countries' covers better than ours? Go to the counter and request such-and-such a cover. All the logos, though, would of course be in English.

Books: This is the part where I go TRULY insane. I want an 'Art of TLM book. I want a songbook with art from the movie. I want a deluxe songbook with Broadway stills/photos. I want the script, complete with notes/inside joke references. Also, a commentary script would be pretty cool. Maybe retrospective books by the main actors/crew.

Carrying Case for Discs: 'Cause let's face it, you won't wanna watch just ONE DISC of this baby. You'll want 'em all. Except maybe the videogame one. Disc would look like the shell. It wasn't a conch, was it? Ursula's shell, I mean. And you could have the discs overlap ever so slightly, like they do on most DVD sets. And perhaps, as a design, the sheet music for POYW+Reprise.

Carrying Case/Bag for Other Extras: Why not Ariel's bag from the first 10 minutes of the movie? I like that bag. Put the books in the main section of the bag, and the lithographs in the protective lining. You know, like they have on wallets for ID, but bigger. Two on the outside and one on the inside. When you take the one that's on the outside, which is on a flap, off, it'll show the Broadway logo (of her on the rock with the moon in the background).

Wow, that's actually a fairly impressive MTR set, Mickeyfan1990, I tip my hat at you, sir. I totally forgot about the "silence your cell phone" frog ad, glad to see it's included (and would be rather cool if it played before the film too, lol). The featurette with Stephen Anderson reading the original story is a very good idea, and one I hope Disney does in a future MTR re-release (hint hint, Disney).

However, I'm confused as to why "Red's Dream" would be included as it's a Pixar short and wasn't even attached to MTR in theatres (AFAIK).
