Glad to see Slink made it to the Daycare too. He was my favourite character.

while that probably does happen, lets not jump the gun here. this only confirms slink will be in the movie, not what happens to him. their not going to start out in the daycare. for all we know some toys get left behind or sold off.

Again, I have some excitement for this movie - but is it going to be a phenomenon? There is recent good track record for sequels, it's been a while since the last movie, and there is nostalgia for fans of the first break-through movie - so I'm sure it will be a success.

I'm sure it'll be huge. it will have been 10 years since the last toy story. and the first is what inspired many to become 3d animators, myself included. I expect this to break all of Pixar's previous records. I don't know a person out there who doesn't like these movies.

Im especially excited to see the new toy line. Im going to have a field day with all the merchendise. haha

Same here! I was a late Toy Story fan so I missed all of the good toys. The Buzz's this time around are not up to par with the originals. I am really hoping for the best replica of Buzz to be made yet!

All this phenomenon talk is making me so excited because Pixar will finally get what they deserve- a HUGE box office success. I really don't think there is anything to worry about. Toy Story 2 went through dark times and Pixar would NOT want to put it out to the public. If it happens with this second sequel, I don't think they will show it unless it is pure gold.

yeah, I noticed they get less and less accurate with every new buzz they make. same goes for woody. the first one wasnt perfect (and trust me I have plenty of nit picks) but now they have changed his expression, removed the glow in the dark paint, and changed his general proportians.
the main thing the first edition needed to be accurate was

longer wing span and with led lights on the ends
spring loaded helmet open/close buttons
and more accurate lazer sounds. also, why not remove his wrist communiator sounds? he didnt have any in the movie, and these companies usually cut whatever they can to save money.

the first woody was also the best of the bunch. its only problems I think where the fact that his smile is open when its supposed to be closed, and maybe take out some of his stuffing to make him skinneir and more flimsy. other small touches I'd like would be real denum fabric for jeans, and an old fashioned pull string, not the electronic type.

I regretably sold both my Woody and buzz at a yard sale. I'd like to buy new ones. I'll wait and see how these toy story 3 ones look, and buy the more accurate ones.

one thing I'd like to do is create my own space ship box from scratch using cardboard, photo paper (with the box design on it) and plastic from a 2 liter soda bottle or something.

I know, Im rambling at this point. :p

Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Group prexy offered up the first-ever public screening of the teaser trailer for "Toy Story 3." Custom-animated short shows Woody supervising the Toy Story characters as they improvise a sign for the pic, only to have Buzz upstage them all with a high-tech version.

The Mouse House will re-release 3-D versions of "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" in a double feature. "Toy Story 3" bows June 18, 2010.

I liked it better when I didn't know what it was. Please white out some parts next time. I always go into a Pixar film not knowing what the trailer is, and prefer it that way.

I did think about whitening things out, but I figured that since it's a Pixar teaser trailer, no actual movie footage will be shown in it, so it's not like I was going to spoil the movie...sorry.

Yeah, I would have preferred not to read about it myself, but I know its just a teaser. hopefully when I see the trailer with actual footage in it it'll be in a theater. I still worry though that I wont have the will power if it leaks online in any form. it was easier back when toy story 2 came out. I heard faint rumors it was in the works, but didn't even know it was true for sure until I saw the first teaser.

Speaking of witch does anyone have that one toy story 2 one? Ive never seen it outside of the one time in theaters. if memory serves it starts with buzz and woody arguing about something, and buzz acts like he wont be in it, then woody says to the camera "oh he'll be in it". and I think it ends with the aliens saying "twwwoooooooo!!!". and that last part is what we see on the dvds as a bonus features, but this was recycled for the tv teasers, the first part was only used once.

Aww, I'm sorry that I ruined it for you, too. :( Should I go back and whiten it out, or is it too late. :( I feel bad, sorry.

And is this the trailer you're talking about:

That's it! thanks. I remembered it a bit differently (hey its been over 10 years, lol) but that's it.

Oh, and it wasn't your fault when it comes to me, I actually already read the description somewhere else. I think my beef is more that a description leaked at all, not with you not blocking it out, so its all good.

Just know that when we get the first real trailer with real footage I wont want to know anything about it. I have accept to a certain extent though that in this day and age is impossible to be a fan of something and still be totally surprised by a teaser.

You're welcome, but that trailer is for Toy Story 2; the Toy Story 3 teaser trailer hasn't yet been released to the public yet.

"I have been in and done three big complete recording sessions and will probably have at least one more to do, possibly in about eight months," said Hanks of his Toy Story 3 work. "Then eight months after that I'll do a mop-up and have three more sessions after that. Those movies are beasts.

"They did an interesting thing on this one. They did not send us a script. They showed us a complete story reel of the entire movie, with storyboards moving from one to the next, and the people up at Pixar recorded some voices with some music and sound effects. Tim Allen and John Ratzenberger and I went in a movie theatre, watched the reel and said, 'This is great, let's get to work!'"
