God, can you imagine the plot lines OUAT would have run around with if Ginnifer Goodwin had been cast in Frozen? lol

I would've enjoyed Goodwin in the role, too, but she doesn't have Bell's gorgeous voice, so ultimately I'm glad that didn't happen. Tbh, I didn't even know Bell had such a pretty voice going into the film, that was a wonderful surprise.

We are getting a new Frozen Short for October 2026 as confirmed by Paul Gitter, executive vice president, global brand commercialization, Disney Consumer Products.

"“Frozen” remains one of Disney's biggest franchises, and "Frozen 3" is on the horizon in 2027. How are you building excitement for the brand, from products to fan moments, leading up to the new film? ;

“Frozen” has proven to be a powerhouse brand for Disney Consumer Products and is expected to be one of our largest efforts ever with strong execution planned across the entire Disney ecosystem– from new in-park experiences like Disneyland Paris’ World of Frozen to new film and streaming content. Our strategy continues to serve core fans with new show-to-shelf products tied to short form content, as well as expand to new demographics and categories. With over 10 years of content and more on the way, fans of the franchise span generations – girls who experienced the release of the original “Frozen” film are now young adults, girls who watched “Frozen 2” are now tweens and teens and so on. While our core girl audience is growing up, their love for the story remains unchanged. Therefore, our strategy is beginning to look at brands that resonate with older audiences like PANDORA, allowing young women to express their fandom in subtle, more sophisticated ways. “Frozen” Fan Fest in October has become a strong annual event for our fans to celebrate their love for the story and characters, with new product launches and digital content. We’re excited to kick off the countdown to “Frozen 3” with a new short this October, ahead of our biggest ever cross-company movie marketing campaign in 2027."

will it be a Halloween Short???
Guess its the 2026 short as these days, Disney Animation Studio only releases 1 short per year. I know Versa supposed to come out on Disney+ this year but it was technically the 2025 short.
