I wonder if they'll preview any part of the music in the trailer?

Both posters are lovely. :)

Also, I couldn’t resist a comparison …

I'm still giving this the benefit of the doubt until we see some actual animation but I find Disney's character design becoming slightly ... bland. Especially compared to work from other studios. It's like they are stuck in a world where they all look like they are using the same Disney snapchat filter. In my opinion other studios have been able to translate slightly more graphic and illustrative designs into a 3D world more imaginatively where as Disney is playing it rather safe...

You hit the nail on the head robster16 ! I feel at the moment they could merge them all into one film and no one would notice.

The posters are lovely though, I love the artwork here.

I agree, she looks older than she did in that previous image that was out (the hand-drawn image, not the toy)--you can tell she's taller because in all the images of the family together prior, she was always shorter than the others. I wouldn't be surprised if they aged her up a bit purposely since those toy images leaked because of the criticism. I guess I don't think leaks like the one with those toys happen by accident; I often think Disney leaks their own stuff sometimes to do a trial run and see what the worst things that will be said with be before releasing their real adverts.

I like the dress, the teal and the pink designs make me think of Dream Eaters from Kingdom Hearts, but the whole thing... I don't care for it. Thankfully it's not as bad as it could've been though, but I still see her as goofier than the other princesses.

EDIT: Looking at the house poster more, seems like we're getting looks at other characters we haven't seen yet (well, maybe that full family photo from the poster last night, but it was too dark for me to see details). The father's there, so I guess you're right, Sotiris, he's most likely alive then. I don't know what the house is reminding me of... I guess where I already had Hotel Transylvania vibes from this, that all I can see is a more colorful version of a haunted mansion. The shape definitely doesn't help.

EDIT x2: I actually went back through images I've saved that have come out about this film (not that many), but the house used to be more rectangular than this. I wish they hadn't changed that. And in that drawing that had come out (la pequena galeria), Mirabel is so much shorter and smaller than the other sisters behind her. I mean, her arm was like a little girl's... I definitely believe they aged her up.

Yes, you can see in here, she definitely is older now.

Yes, Mirabel looks much older than we expected. I wanted her to look younger, but I have to say that I love her final design. She looks full of personality and very unique compared to previous Disney female leads.

That's possible, but I don't think they have had time to change her design since those leaks. If they have aged her up, it must have happened a while ago.

It's true that it looks less rectangular, but maybe it's just for the poster.

^Maybe you're right. It would be interesting if the house could really do that.

(it's beautiful! isn't it? :-) <3)

It's a bit short, I remember they showed more with the first 'Raya' teaser, but it's quite catchy though!

The description of the trailer confirms Mirabel is voiced by Stephanie Beatriz:
The all-new original film features the voice of Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel, an ordinary 15-year-old who’s struggling to find her place in her family. “Mirabel is a really funny, loving character who also deeply yearns for something more,” says Beatriz. “She’s also not afraid to stand up for what she knows is right—something I love and relate to very much.

Yes, it is! :D

I don't know if the house will shape shift, but it definitely is alive and will probably be like a character in the movie.

I bet they’re doing this schtick again where everyone speaks vaguely ethnic but the main character has a Beverly Hills accent.

It looks bland. And the song in the background sounds blander. Not feeling this at all. Hope it proves me wrong and is actually amazing.

It looks nice (even though I'm sticking with the rather bland Disney Instagram filter look character designs not being highly imaginative...), but the main thing is that this teaser trailer still sort of mystifies me on how they are going to fill a 1,5 hour movie with this very basic premise. What will the plot be? For a teaser it doesn't exactly tease or tantalise my curiosity... I guess when a full trailer drops we'll know more about that...
