Two odd movies to be paired together, but I watched our old Black Diamond video of Cinderella, then watched Return of Jafar. There was a lot of noticeable grain on Cinderella, and Return of Jafar had crappy animation, and I could tell it was 3 episodes strung together for the Aladdin TV series.

Now, as soon as I finish up here tonight at UD, I'm off to watch The Black Cauldron...

Maybe someone here can tell me what the big deal is with "Nightmare Before Christmas"......I don't get it.......I don't remember it ever being considered a Disney movie until they bought the rights to it......everyone tells me it's the best Disney movie ever..........I don't buy it.........I own the special edition with all the goodies........I love the movie......but I don't consider it a Disney film. Am I wrong? I will stand corrected if you can tell me something other than well it was done by a company that Disney owns. That doesn't make it a Disney film...........I will repeat, I love this film, I just think of it as a Disney product.

Just watched last night:

"Bambi" on DVD from Taiwan

"Cinderella" on DVD from Taiwan

"Twice Upon a Christmas" on DVD rented from Hollywood Video, watched it for the third time.......still can't stand the 3-D graphics and animation, wish I liked this a lot more, sure the stories are great, but the characters look like characterizations of themselves.

Today I am going to watch "Davy Crockett -Double Feature" on DVD and then we are going to the cinema to see "The Incredibles" for the fourth time. Love this movie. Can't wait to see it on DVD.

Well Disney sort of did make it! It was released under the touchstone banner, which basically is Disney! In the 80's after a couple of "adult" films were not that successful Disney figured that they would be more succesful if they released under a different name! Unlike Miramax which Disney actually purchased.

If you look at the trailers on the DVD you can see that originally it was going to be released under the disney banner, but they changed their minds because they felt it was scarier than the average disney fare!

Thanks for the quick reply Ichabod........that is the same answer though that I have been getting from all my friends. I guess it is just me. I have never thought of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" being anything but a great Tim Burton classic. I guess I will just live with it.

Thanks again.
