While we are not getting the original title of the fairy tale, let's help our fellow Italian fans to get it. Disney Italy posted a poll asking fans to choose their title of preference. Please vote for option 2, "La regina delle nevi" which means "The Snow Queen".

Another petition huh? Well what the heck? I signed it, but I don't think it's going to work. Because when we did the petition against Disney over the title change from "Rapunzel" to "Tangled," it didn't work. The only thing Disney cares is attracting a wider audience, and that is changing names to trick boys into seeing princess movies. Since boys are too smart for feminism names.

Because what if a U.S. distributor releases Wizart's "The Snow Queen" on Christmas 2013, a month away from Disney's "Frozen?" OF COURSE, Wizart's looking for a February 2013 release 9 months before Disney's "Frozen" gets released in November 2013 according to previous articles that I've posted under Movies and TV discussion. For example: "Snow White and the Huntsman" was released 2-3 months away from "Mirror Mirror." If the U.S. distributor wants to release it for Christmas 2013, Disney would probably file a law suit (or petition either way) for releasing the same adaptation compared to Disney's adaptation a month apart. Plus, it could spread confusion towards the audience, but I can tell the difference.

I really don't see The Snow Queen being any kind of competition for Frozen. The example you're using isn't really comparable because SW and the Huntsman and Mirror Mirror were major Hollywood films with big-name casts and Hollywood marketing campaigns. I just don't see Wizart's film having any kind of impact on Frozen.

And once again I'm guilty of contributing to steering this thread off topic. Polizzi, this Snow Queen/Frozen rivalry is all in your imagination. They are in no way similar and some no name animation studio is not in any way, shape or form competition for Disney.

Honestly - do not expect that in the regions is capable of. This is a Disney level. The only thing I'm afraid - it has not turned up with Disney cartoons, as at the time of our fighters were copied from Hollywood. And in general - great, I'll go to the cartoon and always take my children.

Just a few examples that TALK ABOUT Disney's "Frozen" along with Wizart's "The Snow Queen." I'm not telling you what I know, I'm telling you what I've read. It's all in the articles. You would probably say that some articles are not true, like Wikipedia. But that's only if it's a blog (except for official blogs) or a .org type of site.



P.S. Feel free to say, "Keep your filthy articles to yourself! We will not tolerate articles that talk about Wizart's "The Snow Queen," or about it along with Disney's "Frozen!" Relax. Disney is not going to cancel "Frozen." Even though Wizart's "The Snow Queen" completed their production in October 22, 2012, it did not stop Disney from their production.

Let's talk about Anna. I bet she looks twice more beautiful than Gerda (not to mention the freckles which Gerda has), especially that she's going to be the next princess. Somebody fetch me a hammer, so I can bonk myself in a head while making goo goo eyes at her! *Whistling!* *Howling!*

Also, I believe that Wizart is AFRAID that Disney's "Frozen" would most likely succeed than their version, like DreamWorks Animation's "Puss in Boots" against "The True Story of Puss in Boots."

I don't think anyone would care about The True Story of Puss In Boots whether Dreamworks released their version or not.

Wizart's Snow Queen will at best be a novelty, it will not achieve mainstream recognition. Unless of course, it is really very, very, very good.

And Wizart knows that too. Frozen will likely make a few hundred million of Tangled and Wreck-it-Ralph's good reception. Wizart will make nowhere close to that and it's fine with them, their budget is several orders of magnitude lower and they can't seriously expect to challenge the dominance of Western animation studios so easily. Among foreign animation studios, only Studio Ghibli movies can make a bit of money and even that, their most profitable one (Spirited Away) cannot touch the amounts earned by plenty of Western animated films.

And what's that about Anna being more beautiful than her counterpart in Wizart's version. It's not like people are excited for Frozen because of Anna's looks, in fact they are complaining about it due to perceived similarity with Rapunzel.
