It's sort of like in Charlie Brown with the teacher, you have no clue what's being said so you just smile and nod.

I'm 23 and still don't know what's going on when it comes to aspect ratios. Some member were kind enough to explain it to me (which made me feel dumb, by the way, though that was not in any way their fault)... Yet I'm still not sure I grasp all the terminology. And I'm Dutch, which is problematic, as we don't work with inches, but centimeters (and aspect ratios are always in inches).

Aspect ratios aren't in inches. It works the same in centimeters, anyway. If you have something that's 1 cm high, then it is 1.78 cm wide (if the AR is 1.78:1, of course).
I'm also dutch (20 years old) but I'm very interested in aspect ratios, restoring films and all that, so I know some of it. Still, I wouldn't call myself an expert or something.

Was browsing through IMDb again, and just like with the Sleeping Beauty Platinum, preview clips of some of the bonus features and the new restoration of the Pinocchio platinum are up.

I can't wait for this release now. Watching these make me even more excited for it.

Looks like Figaro is no longer "transparent" as he opens the window for Gepetto. Wonder what else they changed?

I bought
Wall·E Blu-ray today and noticed that there is a trailer for the BD release of
Pinocchio. I took some screenshots. Very probably they do not represent the quality of the final product (the movie itself), but here you go... Click the pictures to see them in High Definition:

It's a great shame that the Interactive Pinocchio website is not quite up and running yet!
I love the 3D effects though - I'm looking forward to seeing the Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs equivalent later in the year!

No I had seen Simba's post , and clicked through to the Interactive Pinocchio website only to find that View the Trailer and Order the DVD links are the only interactive links which actually work at present.

That's odd, the games were working for me, as well as activities and downloads.

I thought Pinocchio's site is cleverly designed and the lil games to help Pinocchio's Nose shrink back would've been a great bonus feat for the dvd game. Deco King I agree bout the "Theatre" being under construction bummed me out too. I was lookin forward to seeing the bonus feat and the music video course the video will make a appearance on Disney Channel sometime towards the end of Feb.

Is it me or did the platinum blu ray trailer look 'off' I kept seeing a lot of white spots in the background, I'm sure it will be crystal clear upon release, but it looks like quite a project to restore it.
