Ahh. Well, I'm sorry to everyone, I sorta figured it was, but since I didn't really know it was fan art, I thought I might as well post it so you guys could decide. At least the issue was cleared up pretty quickly, so sorry again, guys.

I am actually very excited about this film, it will probably be the first Disney film I will pay to watch in theaters.
It may be just me but I think Rapunzel looks a bit like Amy Poehler.

I don't know if this has been posted anywhere else, but here is some news on the project (Oct 6, 2008):
Interview: Doeri Welch-Greiner on Disney Shorts Glago's Guest Associate Producer Talks Disney Animation
So what’s next for you?
“I’m going back to pick up my production manager reins again on Rapunzel. It’s in story phase right now. We’re designing and building elements around the first of next year, and starting animation somewhere around next summer.”
I believe it was originally called Rapunzel Unbraided. How much has it changed?
“I was on the movie at that point, and (director) Glen Keane decided that he really wanted to make the classic fairy tale. The original version was that a girl got pulled from the modern world and replaced Rapunzel, and Rapunzel got turned into a squirrel. But we’re on a clearer, more classic fairy-tale sort of track right now with Dean Wellins as co-director; he was one of the story guys on Iron Giant and a Disney animator for a long time. They’re a great team, and Dean has a great story sense.
“We don’t have any actors cast, and we can’t tell you about the story except that it’s really great! (laughs) It really plays on the mystery of the girl in the tower, and I think it’s really going to be great with Dean’s story sense and sense of staging, and the artistry that Glen brings to it, we hope we can bring the artistry of the movie to a different place.”

I know that some changes has occured since then, but Lasseter said that the first part of the movie is very impressive, so I assume it is the final part that causes the problem in case it isn't finished yet.

Wow, you know, Rapunzel Unbraided didn't sound so bad with the squirrel-plot thing.

But supertalies, that is really a lot, and pretty darn special! It tells us more clearly than ever that this will be the classic fairy tale tale, no Shrek and Enchanted type of modern pop culture crap, no completely different tale from what Rapunzel really is. And it tells us about the story, and how great it will be, with the mystery and staging and art!
Yukitora...you know, that squirrel thing didn't sound as awful as I had thought, it actually added some more drama and was even fairy tale-like in the magical transformations, but this true-to-the-tale telling is definately, infinately better.

whenever someone mentions Shrek and Enchanted in the same sentence I throw up a little.

Of course it is
But you know, if Lasetter didn't kill of the DTV sequels, the squirrel-plot would've been a great "Rapunzel II: Legend of the Long Haired Squirrel Princess"

Disney Duster-I don't think that Enchanted is like Shrek at all,Enchanted respects Disney and it's a Disney and a Princess film itself while Shrek is mocking Disney from the films to the theme parks and even people who worked in Disney.

You would have wanted Rapunzel II?! And I'm not keen on the squirrel thing unless it has something somehow to do with the first movie, and since the original tale didn't have any squirrels...though maybe Rapunzel will indeed have a squirrel friend. But Aurora kind of already had one, then again Aurora had a chipmunk, too, and Giselle took that...
Sprince, I was saying Rapunzel Unbraided was going to be like Shrek. I know Enchanted's not like Shrek!

i wouldnt mind a squirrel princess with long hair.that'd add more conflict to the already thin storyline. how the prince is enthralled by the singing..climbs up the hair rope and "lo!...i catch a squirrel!"

Well, it tells us how great
they think it will be anyway. I don't think anyone would say a movie they're working on is badly done.
