Awww, I'm sorry to hear that ChrisLyne. That really does suck, since your tickets are for 7/20 and it closes on 7/8.

I don't know if we will ever see Tarzan in the West End as it did quite badly on Broadway (it announced it's closure the other day and will close in less than two weeks). It's doing well in the Netherlands but I think after it's finished there it'll disappear for the forseeable future.

As for Mary Poppins - fear not! She isn't going for good! When the show closes next year it will embark on a national tour. I just hope that it doesn't do what Beauty and the Beast did in the UK and vanish after the tour ends. Personally I'd hoped it would stay around as long as Lion King has, which is still going strong. We still have some great shows in London though, so all isn't lost - and I hope your right about The Little Mermaid!
Tarzan's closing? :o :(

I can't put into words how upset I am! The whole point of going to New York was to see that show! I had tickets for 20th July (my birthday) and my girlfriend has even re-arrange jury service so we could go to NY before Denver so we could see Tarzan for my birthday. Now I just feel like I've wasted so much time and money as the trip would be far cheaper with just TLM and Denver.

Glad Mary Poppins is touring. I wouldn't worry about it fading away, Beauty and the Beast is still on every year (at least in Manchester and I believe in Liverpool and other cities too).
Sorry to here about how unlucky you were with Tarzan. They announced it's closure so suddenly - it closes July 8th. Don't worry though, look on the bright side, New York is a great city with plenty to see and do - and so many shows to choose from you'll forget all about Tarzan. Really, you'll have a great time - see the sights, catch a show and go shopping. I've heard good things about Grey Gardens, and Spring Awakening cleaned up at the Tonys. You could catch one of Beauty and the Beast's last Broadway performances with Anneliese Van Der Pol as Belle, You can see the broadway version of Mary Poppins and of course there's the Broadway classics like Phantom of the Operah and Les Miserables.

Go and have a good time - And I'll be expecting a full review of The Little Mermaid when you get back! :P

Yeah you're right I will have a great time. I over reacted a bit last night as it was the first I'd heard about it (ticketmaster hadn't even bothered to send me an email to inform me it was cancelled) and felt devastated.

I actually think Beauty and the Beast is very tempting since it is the last run!

Edit: And of course I'll review TLM as soon as I get back (7/31 or maybe 8/1 depending on how much sleep I need as the return flight is over night and I have a bad habit of watching movies rather than sleeping on planes)

Fantastic video I found: http://www.broadway.com/gen/general.aspx?ci=549978

I had no idea who Jonathan Freeman was but knew he sounded familiar! Jafar as Grimsby is an interesting concept, I must say.

Awesomes! The Little Merboy is keeping us up to date! If it weren't for you...I wouldn't know about this till much later! That is the best picture, though I love the one where Sierra looks scared. Good acting! And the one of Scott getting taught some moves is great. I wonder...will Scott put on the pounds for this role? Or a fat costume...or a skinny Ursula? No! Ursula must be as big and powerful as she was in the movie!

Well, the picture is described as Eric and Ariel dancing, so I guess this means that there are new scenes written for Ariel when she's on land.

The Little Merboy, only a few more weeks before you get to see it!!!!

That's very strange. When I looked at the site this morning the scrapbook was there - I was looking at the pictures. Now it's gone. The scrapbook has disappeared! :?

Aww, thanks Disney Duster.

Thats crazy about the "scrapbook" section, I figured this would happen. So I saved the other picture of Sierra, the one Disney Duster mentioned.
