I thought the first idea was really boring, and didn't have a lot in it that I (as a male adult) would necessarily want to participate in. I also felt that the Cinderella Chateau was a little too much Cindy, and secretly wished that they'd replace it with Snow Whites cottage, lol.
I couldn't agree more with this. As a male in my 20's the idea of making birthday cards for Aurora never quite appealed to me but I like the balance they have now; for young children there is the Belle storybook attraction and for older guests and whole families there is the mine coaster. In terms of another attraction based on Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty, I would have liked one similar to Snow White's Scary Adventure that would have replaced that ride when it closes, rather than use it as a meet-and-greet for the princesses.

I would rather have the Dumbo area than Pixie Hollow, simply because I'm not sure how many people would have known anything about the characters and films, like myself and my family. If they had used the space for Neverland, I would have been happy but as someone who doesn't know anything about the Tinkerbell films, that area would have felt like a waste to me.

David S. wrote:Yes, I know about the issues with retheming the coaster to Casey Jr. But I was thinking more along the lines of building a NEW Casey Jr. ride, from scratch, like the ones found in Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, to compliment the new Dumbo section. This would be a way to both enhance the Dumbo story elements in the new Dumbo section, and also add more rides (and capacity) to the park.
But I don't think that Casey Jr. as you described it could really be pulled off without a Storybook Land (the boat ride) to go with it. Both parks have those and they would be needed here, too.

I'd be all for Storybook Land, too!

I'd like to see the Storybook Land Canal brought to WDW too, I don't know where they could put it in the Magic Kingdom though.

I just hope that the new coaster incorporates alot of scenes or maybe stuff from SWSAs instead of just being mostly a coaster. I want it to be a combination dark ride/coaster.

I don't know if any of you go on the site WDW Magic but according the insiders on their forum, there is apparently a secret "Project Z" Disney have yet to announce for Walt Disney World. According to some of the people there who claim to have insider knowledge on the announcement, this project will apparently "shatter the dreams of fanboys" in their words. Does anyone here know anything about this secret project or if this rumour has any truth?

They mean by "shatter the dreams of fanboys".....?

Are they saying it will piss off boys and men or something?

A lot of people on that forum seem to think it either involves an Indiana Jones attraction or something to do with Pirates of the Caribbean. I'm not sure how appropriate the term "fanboys" is to this, that was just what the person who claimed to know what the project is said.

LOL yeah I'm wondering the same thing...

I tend to not believe people when they claim to have inside information....unless, have they been right about anything before?

To be honest, I don't know what they mean by that, those are just the words that they used. I'm sceptical myself as I thought all of the work being done in the Magic Kingdom had been announced now and I don't set much store by supposed inside information on "top secret" projects, I was just wondering if anyone else knew any more on the rumour.

Look...Dumbo is too big. Before, it was Dumbo & Pixie Hollow. So half of that land where Pixie Hollow was going to be could be Neverland, or Cinderella or Aurora's attraction.

Next to Snow White is also too much dead space. Again, that space could be given to one of Cinderella's or Aurora's attractions!

And the Princess Meet & Greet makes no sense, like Super Aurora said, because Belle, Ariel, and Snow White all have their own! So that space could be Pinocchio, Mr. Toad, Cinderella, or the long ago originally planned Sleeping Beauty dark ride.

If this is the real plan, Disney is just not thinking! They could have so much more, as I just listed!

Wonderlicious, the Beauty and the Beast animatronic show is kind of going to be in the Be Our Guest Restaraunt where there will be interactive enchanted objects, I believe.

Jack Skellington, thank you for telling me about that restaurant. I have seen some of that Auberge Cendrillon before, but after you said that I am more eager to go! I am most looking forward to Tokyo's Cinderella Castle attraction now, about Cinderella.

By the way, that Tokyo attraction is also called "Cinderella's Fairy Tale Hall", like the "Princess Fairy Tale Hall" Disney World is getting. But aren't they going to be totally different?

I agree. However, the "insiders" who are dropping "hints" about this "Project Z" over there are the same 2 who revealed the plans months ago to close the Snow White's Adventures dark ride to make it a Meet and Greet, and revealed the Dwarf Mine Car concept. All of which Disney didn't get around to announcing "officially" until a few days ago, but ended up being true. They also say the "Project Z" has not yet been "greenlit" for MK, just Shanghai, but that there is a decent chance it will be coming to the MK as well.

Oh yeah. Fiddle dee dee, I forgot about that. Well, really, I just don't think the Enchanted Tales attraction is all that necessary, that's all. Wah hah hah!

If I had to decide what to do, I'd do this:

- Leave Snow White mine ride in(seems cool).

-In that small extra spot on right of mine ride, leave in the Aurora Cottage but have something different for it rather than Stinkin B-Day cards.

-Knock down upper half of dumbo(leave only the dual dumbo ride, barnstormer, and that tent behind Dumbo ride).

-Replace the left side with Alice in Wonderland which is the moved Teacup ride, and a Alice in Wonderland darkride.

- The right side should be something with Rapunzel.

- The empty spot that was Snow White ride, replace it with Pinocchio dark ride(with Bavarian facade).

That what I would of done.

I think what they mean by "shatter the dreams of fanboys" is that it will anger the Disney diehards worse than they have already. They always seem to think that every new attraction must be an E-ticket ride, or else. And why? Because that's probably all they will gravitate towards.

Personally, I'd much rather wait and see.

I'd rather like a Sleeping Beauty dark ride to take the spot of Scary Adventures. Was actually in the original Magic Kingdom plans.

Putting the Snuggly Duckling into the forest area somewhere as a Fantasyland counterpart to the Golden Horseshoe would be great too. And definitely expand on Wonderland a little.

I'm glad its now not so over run with Princesses as it was before, but two points I don't like ...

1. WHY IS THERE NO PIXIE FREEEKIN HOLLOW ?!?!?!?

2. Sad to see Snow White go...though I hope her new ride makes up for the dismantaling of her old one.

Is Rapunzel's tower going to be included here as well ?

I like that except what area do you mean by the right side? Give me some explanation. Because depending on what it is, maybe we could make that Cinderella's original planned ride instead?

I also like the idea of the Sleeping Beauty dark ride taking that spot, and perhaps also being a meet and greet, but I guess that would fit more in the expanded Fantasyland forest idea.

But as for the Snuggly Duckling, that idea is already pretty much done with Gaston's Tavern, don'tcha think?

I'd keep the Sleeping Beauty cottage out but I would love a dark ride based on the film. I don't have anything against Cinderella but I think a Sleeping Beauty attraction would be more interesting with scenes of the dragon if Disney could find a way to do that.

The more I look at the new plans for the expansion, the more I like them. There's a better mix of attractions now while I think there could still be some changes to the circus attraction before it reaches construction. With Disney leaving space as well, there's always the opportunity to put it in more attractions, like a Tangled one. The original plans looked nice but it was themed more for girls and younger children, now it seems that there is something for everyone.

Right side of that upper half of dumbo. It's big enough to have an Alice section and a Rapunzel section. Alice being on side closer to mermaid, and Rapunzel being on the right, closer to train track. That's what I meant.
