1. Would that Revised Greatest Hits CD be in place of the normal Greatest Hits CD mentioned in this thread? Or in addition to? I would actually prefer the Revised one- I think, more than any other artist, Britney does the best with reinventing her songs (like at awards shows and whatnot, when she performs new mixes of songs).

I'm thinking it would be in place of, as she already has a regular greatest hits album. But again, I really don't think the revision rumor is true. There would have been more hype about it by now.

As much as I really don't like Britney, that performance was really good. Props to her.

I wonder if 'The Singles Collection' deluxe ed. will have a new dvd with all her music videos up to 2009...

I'm THRILLED to hear this, especially since I'll be attending the show on the 26th. But to be honest, I think I'd rather it be an HBO special or something along those lines. The whole 3-D movie thing seems a bit childish to me.

Either way, I'm not complaining. As long as they're filming the show, I'm happy!

New Song "3" Goes to Radio September 29


New York, NY - In celebration of the 10th anniversary of her debut on the music scene, Jive Records is releasing Britney Spears The Singles Collection on November 24. To launch the special package a brand new single entitled "3," which Britney recently recorded with hitmaker Max Martin, will go to radio Tuesday, September 29.

There will be two configurations of The Singles Collection; an ultimate fan box set and a standard version.

The ultimate fan box set version of The Singles Collection will contain all 29 of her singles, including the new song "3." Each disc will be packaged in its own slip sleeve case with original artwork, and will include an additional b-side or a remix of the track. The collection will include a DVD featuring all of Britney's videos in chronological order. The ultimate fan box set will also include a special booklet featuring iconic images and fun facts about each track.

The standard version of The Singles Collection will contain 17 of her chart topping favorites along with the new song "3," all on one CD.

During her 10 year career, Britney has had 5 albums debut at the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 Album Chart, as well as 23 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart. Worldwide, Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, constantly topping charts with her albums ...Baby One More Time (1999); Oops!... I Did It Again (2000); Britney (2001); In The Zone (2003); Blackout (2007) and Circus (2008). Worldwide she has sold over 63 million albums.

Britney Spears is currently touring in support of her most recent studio album Circus. "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" tour which started in her home state of Louisiana in March 2009.

The box set will also include a DVD with all of Brit's videos from past to present and a photo booklet with various photos spanning her career.

So it will in fact be 30 discs in a box (the 29 CDs plus the one DVD)? I love that idea, but something tells me it's gonna be really expensive.

Also on Wiki, it says that a song called "It's All In The Game" will be a Japanese bonus track.

I assume this is going to be the track list for the standard U.S. edition as well (or maybe at least the track order will be shuffled), considering it's got all of her major hits on there. I feel like this will be such a waste for anyone who owns the 2005 Greatest Hits CD or any of Britney's other They could just download "3" from iTunes and make this CD themselves.

Granted, I have all her studio albums, so I'm not buying this standard edition. I might buy the Limited Edition depending on how much the MSRP winds up being (it's listed on Amazon at $22.99 but who knows).

P.S. - This release has been pushed up! Look on Amazon! The other day it was still slated for the late November release, but now it's got a release date of October 27th in the States!
