Looking forward to it.

If anything, it should air on Thanksgiving or November 27th. This seems random.
I'm guessing "the exciting announcement" will be either the Arendelle area in Epcot or the book series.

I don't think the book series is special enough for that kind of announcement but the ride is likely. Holding out for a short on Big Hero 6,

According to ABC, the one-hour special will document the origins and evolution of “Frozen,” including a look inside Walt Disney Animation Studios and interviews with the creative team behind the blockbuster animated film. Fans will hear from Kristen Bell (the voice of Anna) and Idina Menzel (who voices Elsa) as well as Walt Disney Animation Studios’ chief creative officer and “Frozen” executive producer John Lasseter, directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, producer Peter Del Vecho, and songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. The program will also feature insights and commentary from art director Mike Giaimo and members of the art direction, animation and effects teams, and show viewers the Norwegian villages and landscapes that inspired the look of fictional Arendelle.
The special also promises to reveal “exciting announcements about the next chapter of ‘Frozen,'” and a preview of the film’s characters — Anna, Elsa and Kristoff — in their upcoming appearance on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time.” The show will end with an exclusive sneak peek at Disney’s next animated film, comedy-adventure “Big Hero 6,” ahead of its Nov. 7, 2014 release.

It was about time. Finally they're giving us a real behind the scenes-feature and not only some lame ones.
But I'm still waiting for an edition of "Frozen" filled with bonus features. Or better said; When Disney finally gives their fans some good blu ray editions.
Btw, in Norway we don't us the term village for small towns. We simply use the term small town.

Now I definitively can't wait for it. Sounds as it's going to be quite elaborative.

I'll DVR it, but I can't help but feel, well, sad, that they decided Frozen warranted a TV special but films with rich history like Tangled and Princess and the Frog didn't.
Guess if I made the company a billion dollars, they'd give me a TV special, too.

Princess And The Frog did get a TV Special. It even had interviews with the late Roy E. Disney.

Do you guys know if they'll re-run this special? I won't be able to make it in time see it.
Although I will say this.... Putting clips of the movie into these is kind of annoying at this point. I understand why they do it, but when they storyboard Let it Go I kind of want just the storyboards....

Apparently, Frozen is a huge hit in Japan. There, it's called "Anna and the Snow Queen".

I wish we could all focus on making sure that Hullabaloo gets the funding that it needs instead of continuing to talk about this stupid disgrace of a Disney movie that doesn't deserve to be talked about as much as it does.

Lets say WDAS announces that Hallabloo will be their new animated feature for a June release. But then DreamWorks announces they're releasing Shrek 5 that same month. What do you think will happen?

If WDAS was making it right now, it wouldn't be hand-drawn, cause they're too corrupted by CGI at the moment. That's why I'm trying to put my money and support into projects that want to help hand-drawn animation, not in a studio that doesn't have enough respect for hand-drawn anymore to not change
Frozen into CGI.

hey 2d, I thought you left this site...
well Im excited about Hullabaloo too! I hope it gets funding it needs! wouldnt it be awesome if an indie studio cofunded it...like maybe Laika!
and to stay on topic, when is this special airing, is it this Teusday? I still think this is nothing more than the bonus feature that was intended for the blu-ray but was held back so they can release it on tv, get ratings & squeeze more bucks out of Frozen mania...at least we'll finally get to see it.
