Anyone buy Pocahontas yet? I have to wait till I pay off some debts before treating myself, but I listened to the iTunes samples. Really curious about a couple of those tracks (is the reprise sung in Farewell? etc.)

I'm definitely holding out to get a physical copy of this one.

I'm not quite sure about the track listing on iTunes....it has the usual soundtrack then If I Never Knew You is added in the extra bits ?

As the avid "Pocahontas" fan I am, I've bought it. Thanks for letting me know about the iTunes previews! :)

I loved to hear the previews to the deleted songs as well. It's interesting to hear "First to Dance" and "Different Drummer", which surprised me. I can't definitively wait to get it!

Spotify in the UK has the Pocahontas album (minus the bonus tracks but including "If I Never Knew You"). I listened to the "Farewell" track and it does have the "If I Never Knew You" reprise in it. Somewhat ironic given they didn't include the extended version with "If I Never Knew You" and its reprise on the Blu-Ray, but it makes this release more worthwhile in any case...

I can't wait to hear all the demos...though I would of liked them to include more, such as the "For your life's an empty hull, till you get it through your skull" Colors of the Wind demo used for the presentation reel.

On the demo for If I Never Knew You, Judy Kuhn sounds like they transposed her voice down an octave. She was singing in a deeper register than John Smith's stand in singing voice

Pocahontas is my second favorite (of the Renaissance era) after The Little Mermaid. So happy about this release.

Oh, I hate that line! It's so hammering, condescending and moralistic. I'm glad it was changed.

Btw, I wonder if other Pixar soundtracks will be included on this collection.

I hope Toy Story are they only Pixar soundtrack we'll see as a part of this collection. At least if other potential Pixar soundtracks would have been taking the place of Walt Disney Animation Studios soundtracks that could have been released instead. I have never thought that the soundtracks of the Pixar movies have been that memorable, allthough many of their movies are wonderful. Disney movies are more known for memorable melodies and iconic songs, and I hope that Disney will feature more of the classic Disney soundtracks as a part of this collection.

"New soundtracks in the Walt Disney Records Legacy Collection series will make their debut at the Expo, including The Aristocats. There will also be a nice slipcase holder for securing and display your library of these albums."

I'm not able to get Pocahontas at the moment, but I'm definitely buying as soon as I can. I'll probably buy L&tT and The Aristocats through Barnes and Noble.

I hope there won't be any more Pixar releases--at least, not soon. I don't mind if they do them later for those who want them, but I'd rather they not distract from the Disney releases just yet. There are so many more Disney movies than there are Pixar and, tbh, I'm worried this line may lose steam/quality like most other Disney-related lines do after the next year or so.

Looks very nice.
Congrats!
You got it very quick (since you are not in the US)
I have to wait around a month to get mine :(

That's gorgeous... but I think they should have switched the front and back cover. The art of her and Meeko in the canoe is so much nicer than the front art.

Oooh, you're so lucky, NeverLand! I'll have to wait until 28th August until Amazon.com send out my copy.

But my consolation is that time flies fast ;) Haha. And it will be worth the wait.

And frankly, I like Lorelay's style on this. It's actually quite good.

Sooo... I heard that at D23 they revealed that they're releasing a Vinyl LP box set for the Legacy Collection.

Which I was kinda mad about considering that most of us already bought the CDs.... But not only that... It's supposedly $400+

So.. Yep. :) I'll stick to Hot Topic's picture discs which cost $20.

I think you are refering to THE SILLY SYMPHONIES set. :)
At least I have not heard anything of an LP release of the Legacy Collection, but I can of course be wrong...

Assuming this is true, I wonder if they'll ever be made available individually? I'd certainly get Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid (assuming it has more tracks than the Hot Topic record).

With 2015 slowly coming to its end, I suppose surprise announcements of The Black Cauldron and The Rescuers Down Under seem more and more unlikely.

Also, does anyone have any idea what are the chances of this collection spreading out to 2016/2017?

The Black Cauldron was released recently by that awesome company that I keep forgetting the name, with the complete score.
I think that it's unlikely we will see it on The Legacy Collection.
Also, I'm kinda anxious, since the best chance they had to announce something was at the D23 and they kept silence, for all we know.

Nope. Not the Silly Symphonies one!

From what I've heard from someone, there have been talks about extending the Legacy line... but nothing has been green-lit, so they can't announce anything. I think the sales for this collection have been low, but what do you expect from a collection that is largely aimed at a niche group?
