That cover looks too busy and I honestly can't stand the "sleeping Aurora/Phillip approaching to kiss her" position. The only time they pulled it off was with the 1986 VHS cover.

I think the U.S./U.K. covers are very beautiful.

The Brazil cover is nice, better than the somewhat similar UK DVD cover in my opinion.

That Brazil cover is one great cover! I like when there's a lot in the cover, but not too much and it's all placed nice, which is how I think this cover is! I wish that was the cover the U.S. was getting!

Germany is getting a collector's edition digibook.

The cover with the spindle is really lovely.

I wonder if it will be the same book that was released with the UK version of the Platinum Edition ?

Cool! So, it's really just a repackaging of the Platinum Blu-ray, from the look of the discs themselves. But then again, Germany uses artwork from previous releases in their promotional materials, especially when it comes to Disney.

I wonder if France will get the digibook as well. I have the french digibooks for LATT, JB & Bambi & love them!

I dont think so, the PE book was more of a typical artbook, the digibooks are sketches on sepia tinted paper.

the digibooks are very classy but are a bit of a mixed bag: some have art reused from the sketches in the portoflios that came with the US dvd giftbook sets(Cinderella, LK). Others just use coloring book clipart which is really lame(LM & LK which I didnt bother to get.) The Bambi one reuses art from the sketchbook series(a book I already have but I didnt know it had that art or I wouldnt have gotten it.)

can someone please PLEASE tell me that we are also getting that Brazilian cover art here in the usa!!
also, why arent there any links to preorder the bluray on amazon yet? final cover art not finalized or?

The easiest way would be via amazon.de. You don't have to register if you already have an amazon.com account. Just use that one.

Something is afoot in Amazon land. They've denied pre-orders from Hatchette Book Group; for weeks they'd done the same thing for Warner home media titles. Right now there are some Disney releases available and some that aren't--most of the Aug 12 releases are up, but not Muppets Most Wanted (although it was, briefly, and it's still available for pre-order from plenty of other e-tailers). Sleeping Beauty pre-orders are currently available elsewhere (I've found it online at Books-a-Million and Barnes & Noble), but not through Amazon...

I love seeing all these creative, sometimes beautiful covers/sets. Why does the US division have to suck so much??? You'd think if any country would get the nicest covers/releases, it would be the country these films were made in.

We used to get nice box sets but at some point they stopped releasing them here. I hate how in the US the priority is always what parents want. Like how Target stopped making those nice digibook sets b/c parents complained they couldnt give the book to their kids.

so Im forced to buy this stuff overseas and pay extra for the expensive shipping. But to Disney USA collectors are not a segment worth catering to anymore.

At the end of the day, it's just a cover. Shouldn't the content of the release be what matters?
