The only large extra I could think of for The Lion King would be the Broadway/West End show in HD and I doubt that's going to happen. Of course they could have the entire film again with subtitles.

I didn't know they've changed the logo and the credits in future releases. Is this true? What are these "scrolling" credits he's talking about?I have the original theatrical version on VHS with the correct Walt Disney Pictures logo and the 1994 “scrolling” credits (it was the first release and it was part of the “Masterpiece Collection”).
Yeah it was changed for the PE DVD.Sotiris wrote:Someone on another board said this about The Lion King:

What's cine-Explore?ajmrowland wrote:I'm sure Disney's not gonna include Cine-Explore. They like to cut corners on these releases and usually include existing commentaries rather than new ones. The exception is Dumbo. Even Princess and the Frog-a new movie-had just an audio commentary rather than Cine-Explore.
It's a type of visual commentary, where film clips and images are used to compliment the standard audio commentary. Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio had such features.WaltDisneyFanBoy wrote:What's cine-Explore?ajmrowland wrote:I'm sure Disney's not gonna include Cine-Explore. Don't forget Alice and Bambi, which both have in effect an evolution of Cine-Explore (even if one was on DVD before). The storyboard PiP track on Princess and the Frog may have stopped a Cine-explore type presentation. Or it could just be because Disney simply crapped out the disc - they certainly didn't put any effort into the "normal" special features for Princess and the Frog.ajmrowland wrote:I'm sure Disney's not gonna include Cine-Explore. They haven't been announced yet.Mason_Ireton wrote:hmm ya think the newer Disney films (i.e Lil Mermaid-Lion King) would probaly get the cine-explore experience. Wonder if Lady/Tramp might get a 2 disc blu ray, hopefuly.
What's the bonus feats for this edition?? unless Yammiguy already posted, then i apologize for askin a stupid question.
No, I don't think, there will be another releasenachonaco wrote:So do you guys think this means we won't see 2 or 1 1/2 as individual releases?
Yeah, but that really pretty much neglects the pip capabilities in favor of seamless branching to a separate encode.2099net wrote:Don't forget Alice and Bambi, which both have in effect an evolution of Cine-Explore (even if one was on DVD before). In Mexico I only recall the Spanish version being out (at least on release day) and it was the exact cover from the US except from the fact that Mexico used skinnier, more durable, cases.\Marce82 wrote:Interesting you post that image. I am from Argentina, and that WAS the original VHS cover over there. Well...sort of.
Lion King was the ONLY Disney movie that was released both in spanish and in english (with subtitles) in Argentina (and I suspect all of latin America). The english version had the US cover, and the spanish version had this red sunset type poster as the cover. Which, if I recall, was the main poster used when the film was released.
