Ah, yes. There's only so much that can be said about a film that's about 70 years old, without becoming redundant.
---
To change the topic a bit, I really hope that the Fantasia's will come out on super-special-chocolate-coated-mega-ultra-hyper-superduper-rainbow-awesom'o DISC, I mean I would hate it if they would only come out on the holographic-super-mega DISC. That would suck. I hate super-mega-ultra quality, I only want super-mega-ultra-chocolate-coated quality. That's the best, DON'T DENY IT!

Yes, I'm jealous of people who spend lots of money on stuff they don't need!

This is what I hate: always that needless, pointless overreacting of the blu fanboys. "It looks like crap." That's just nonsense. It looks good. You act like you can't make out what's on the screen. This is what milojthatch referred to when he said that people are never satisfied anymore. It's not "crap" just because you can't count the number of nostrils of the actor on the screen, okay?

Simple, yet elegant. Wouldn't the Diamond Edition Banner be on the top and spread out like a frame like Snow White? That would look nice. I love your new siggy.

I do love that classic art of sorcerer mickey, but I hope they create a new classy image for the cover art. I only hope they don't try to cram in as much as they can... lol, can you imagine if they tried to include every character in the film on the cover. Maybe it would be worth seeing.

Thanks! All I really did was find the DVD cover of a
foreign release that looked good to me, adjust the colors, and add some stuff. Yeah, I got lazy with the border.

And I really couldn't resist making that siggy, I had so much fun with it.
These are a couple of my favorite pics for any Fantasia releases (one's a poster, one's a soundtrack), I especially like Mickey's expression on the right . . .
I wouldn't mind seeing some kind of variation of Mickey and Chernabog with whatever they're going to do for the real cover.

No. He's talking without the upconversion. Truth is, a standard connection is just plain blurry on an HDTV, or even a computer screen. People don't like when their glasses are fogged, and It's kinda like that. There's not even much color to it anymore. A decent component cable at least gets that, but HD makes the movies that much more viewable. the yellow composite cable is tolerable on a small TV, but not on a tv bigger than 20"or so.

Well if there's nothing to talk about the films release, then don't post. Just because the thread is open doesn't mean you have to try and out wit each other as to whether DVD/Blu Ray is better.

I think I might prefer maybe if Disney wanted to go a different route than the past VHS / DVD covers from "Fantasia". I'm not sure what exactly I'd rather see, but a change of pace wouldn't be bad.
Also, if they wanted to make the cover for "Fantasia 2000" more like the original DVD cover art before it was changed, I wouldn't mind it.

Actually, for once, crowding the cover image with many characters(or still, like the IMAX posters) would not be a bad idea. It'll give the feel of so many stories told in one film. It would just need to be composed properly.

If they wanted to do both covers similar to that like so they almost kind of match... I could dig that.

It would also be cool if they made them to make one large solid image once placed next to one another, but still look cool individually.
Another thing, Do we even know if they are being released separately? I mean, there is the possibility that they both will be released together with Fantasia World ala the anthology set was kind of put together. It would be super cool if they made some sort of big collectors set like the chest for Snow White. I never really wanted the chest that Snow White got, but for the Fantasia's I would probably try to get it!

You know what man its plainly obvious that you have no clue what you are talking about, trust me when you hook up a standard defintion dvd player to a hd tv (without upconversion) the picture looks like garbage.
you know how crappy the image quality is on some of those real low resolution youtube videos taken from old 1980s vhs tapes, the quality is like that. utter garbage.
It has nothing to do with seeing the pours or hairs on a actors head, it has to do with the image in general looking like garbage. and it does like the other person responding to you said.
and correct me if iam wrong but isnt name calling and personal attacks prohibbited on these boards, it might do you well to review the posting guidelines, and i have you filed a report against you just now.
BLURAY has 6 TIMES the resoulution of DVD 6 TIMES, thats a huge difference. But hey what do i know i only own 535 movies on bluray and before that i had over 2500 standard dvds (which now all i have left are about 400 including but not limited to my disney dvds and my extrememly reare oop and recalled dvds) DVD was great for its day, but in a high def world, you need a player able to play blurays as well as upconvert standard dvd titles as well.
No one is saying rush out and sell all your dvds , but the fact that a poster is so dead set against bluray especially on freaking titles that were availble on standard dvd years ago says alot about the poster.
iam done talking to you cause its obvious that besides being misinformed, you arent willing to listen to anyone else when they present FACTS!.
goodbye and dont respond back to me again as i will not be answering.

I'm not sure that's exactly what you mean, but I would sure love something like the Fantasia 2000 one, with the bursts of color/frames from the movie thingies connecting if you place the covers side by side (but still looking awesome if you just look at one).
Something like this, with the left one obviously featuring the first movie's shorts (and not done in two minutes in Photoshop):

Too crowded for a DVD/Blu cover?
Of course it'd need more glossing up and arrangement to work.
P.S. Not Mine!
