Same here! your shading is really great!

And that German title is really funny. I know it's a literal translation, but since it sounds so much like Dutch, it really funny to hear.

I know it's just rumour that Disney will be releasing in this the fall, and the front of UD says it's just someone who says this, but I think it's true. I was looking on the webpage for the exclusive Princess Tiana doll and this was one of the comments:
Princess Tiana is the second in our series of Limited Edition Collectible Dolls. Don't miss the third doll in this very special series -- Princess Belle, arriving Fall 2010
They only release the dolls when the film is coming out (well there's only been two, but I assume it's true). I think this is pretty much a confirmation from Disney that it'll be released in the fall.

What people don't seem to understand is that the Platinum line is no more.

So, while it is very likely that we will get Beauty and the Beast in Autumn... it doesn't mean that we will be getting a Diamond Edition every March and October.

Also keep in mind that if they DO decide to follow the Platinum schedule, the first few years were only one title each October, there was no March Platinum until the 4th year (?)

if they have to use a Disney channel star to do a "unique" cover of a Beauty and the Beast song, I hope they use Demi Levoto. She'a decent singer and hopefully whichever song they choose will stay the way its meant to be and NOT a "rock" song.......

I honestly consider Demi as the best singer on Disney Channel, even better than Miley. Although she doesn't have a distinguish voice, she has a beautiful and melodic one.

Almost anyone, and certainly any of the other Disney Channel "stars", can sing better than Miley Cyrus. She is only successfull because she is her father's daughter and because Disney has pushed her as Hannah Montana.

Actually, Miley had to audition for her part for Hannah and almost didn't got the part until the very end of the prosess. And when her father was proposed to be with her on the show, he feared people would think that he was the reason that Miley got the role. But now he acts the opposite way, since he's with Miley on almost every promotion she does. Not a very smart tactic, Mr. Cyrus.

Anyway I"ll buy it on DVD :D.
Same here. I don't own a blue-ray player. I'm definitely buying it on dvd though, because the only version of this movie that I own is the Platinum Edition VHS.

I only have a Blu ray-player on my computer. I'll probalby buy a real blu ray player when I can afford it, pluss when the Region free players are more accessable.

I honestly hope those crappy disney channel circle of stars cover videos have died with the platinum line.
seriously the only music video that needs to be on the diamond edition bluray/dvd is the original Grammy/golden globe/Academy award winning version sung by Peabo Bryson and celine Dion.

In terms of the actual movie its self though,I hope that Disney Keeps all 3 versions of the movie on this release, because that was one of the coolest features of the platinum edition dvd having the the orginal work print on there.
cross my fingers

considering that Snow White was already released with one itself... i'd say they are here to stay.

I hope they keep the Celine Dion video, as well. However, I am not selling my previous DVD I bought, so I'll still have it either way. I probably will buy the Blu Ray since Belle is my favorite Princess (slightly beating out Sleeping Beauty).

WOW WOW WOW @ the clarity of that trailer! Is there really that big of a difference between BR and regular DVD? I always thought the difference was minor.

I wasn't joking. I'm not familiar with Blu-Ray and all I know is that I've never seen BATB as sharp and clear as in this trailer.

Rewatching it, I admit that for once, someone on youtube knew what they were doing. It is really good quality. But yeah, blu-ray tends to look sharper and more colorful.

The marketing campaigns for bluray have said since day one that bluray has 6 TIMES the resolution of standard dvd. there is a HUGE difference and anyone who says there is not either A. hasnt actually tried it out in a home enviorment or B doesnt have there tv calabrated correctly.
cause the difference really is night and day.

Or C.Is not sitting close enough to their tv, which can also be combined with D. Their TVs too small for the resolution to be fully enjoyed, and therefore they made a bad purchase.

For example, 6.5ft from a 47" TV is proving to be a satisfying sizexdistance ratio for me.

^which reminds me, I was watching BATB on my parents' Sansui 42" TV and the film just didn't look good (at times it looked a bit grainy). I tried to adjust the brightness/contrast to no avail, so I guess the TV is just junk. That's what happens when you let your mother buy that stuff :)
