I'm moving!!!
Finally after all these months of a moldy apartment I'm getting out! Then I took one look around the apartment at all the clutter, mess and amount of work to be done and just wanted to cry

It'll be a miracle to get this done by the 30th.

Yay, Shawn!
Yesterday we brought Harry & Sally (our doggies) to the vet to get their nails clipped like we do every so often. Harry hates getting his nails clipped, but yesterday he wouldn't even let them cut his nails at all, so they gave us 2 options: 1) Harry will be sedated and his nails will be cut like they normally would be or 2) Harry will be sedated and his nails will be "show cut", meaning that they will be cut extra short, changing where the quik (or quick?) is, so they don't have to be cut nearly as often. We went with option 2. Either option would mean leaving Harry at the vet's for a few hours. I cried when we had to leave him. I had never left my doggies alone somewhere else before. I was sad that he'd be scared. The vet called a few hours later, when they were done, and we got there and they brought Harry out- he was wearing little booties on his feet- too cute. All but one bootie has fallen off, though, and we didn't get to take a picture of them all on- I wanted to, because it was so cute.
He's not his active self yet- he's been resting a lot. Poor Pookie (that's one of his nicknames...lol)...

But, at least he won't have to get his nails cut for many months (I'm hoping 6 months or more...). Sally doesn't like to get her nails clipped, but she's a pretty good girl about it.

Thanks PeterPanFan

I actually spent all this weekend packing and cleaning and packing some more and cleaning a bit more. Ugh so boring and it gets old after the first 5 minutes
Sorry to hear Harry had a tough time with his nails Amy

Trust me dogs are much easier to do than cats when it comes to nail clippins, you should see what my arms look like when we're done you could play tic-tac-to on them

I'm sure he'll be back to his active self soon
Now what else could I babble about while I'm here....oh I totally had an "Oops my bad" moment on Friday night. I was hanging out with my aunt, cousin and our friend and I was talking to our friend Jess about random things while my cousin phoned this I Say phone number. Apparently you phone the number and can leave a message for celebs and she had chosen the Jonas Brothers, so she was leaving this long message to them and I was telling our friend how it's so quiet at night in town you could go streaking and nobody would notice/care so I turn to my cousin (thinking she was listening to her message) and ever so loudly yelled ENOUGH TALKING LETS GO STREAKING!!! Turns out she was still recording her message

Oh well at least whoever listens to that message will get a kick out of it.

That is all.

Thanks, you guys! One job I really want, and the interview is first, so I hope it goes well.
I'd love to get hired on the spot- I got hired on the spot for my internship last year, and it's the best thing ever, because you KNOW you have a job.

I HATE when, after a job interview, you are told that, "either way" you will get contacted if you did or did not get the job. That's such a lie. Why the heck must people lie, especially about this?!?!!? Is it that hard to just be honest and say, "If you get hired, we'll contact you" & leave it at that?!?! UGH.
If you apply for a job on DisneyCareers.com, they contact you if you don't get the job.
I'm assuming that I'm still jobless, but I never can tell. What does "by tomorrow [meaning today] evening" mean? I could have heard the guy wrong, but I thought that he said today.

I'm so desperate for a job that I'm applying online to Universal.
That's desperation right there.

I'm sorry the job hunt hasn't been going well, Amy. I hear though that Universal does treat its employees though a lot better than Disney in terms of employee benefits, merchandise, etc. I hope you might be able to find one soon.
I just decided to join the discussion to say how happy and excited I am right now. I finally moved out of the dorms this year, and sharing an apartment with my two friends (both of whom I met at the university's GLBT Center last year). I love finally living in a place where I have my own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, not to mention sharing it with two friends who I love living with. I'm so excited for this year!

Yay, Tim!!! I'm happy that you're happy!
My babble is that I'm on Bobby's computer looking for pictures, and the way he has his desk set up, the computer screen is really clear. I'm opening each folder, which are titled just by a date, and I opened a folder that, among other things, has my pictures with the Jonas Brothers. I got all giddy from that, especially because I'm listening to them now and seeing them in concert tomorrow. So, I opened the one with the 3 of them and me, and I noticed something that I never noticed before, and I was probably too in shock at the time when I met them to realize-
Kevin Jonas touched my shoulder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had no idea, and I have like butterflies in my belly...that is awesome. It's funny that I never realized that before.

It was really great because i wanted to track down a copy before the new edition is release because my VHS is about to die on me. I love the store so much because the have so many out of print dvd for so cheap and they have slip covers most of the time. I have also gotten Alice in Wonderland, Emperors New Grove (both 2 dics) and some 1st, 2nd and 3rd wave treasures sets from there. And they all have been under 20 dollars!!!

Why do people drink excessively?
This is something that has always confused me. Oh, I respect people that drink, since many of my friends are alcohol drinkers and truth to be told I love them

.
But I just don't understand why people drink to much to the point they make themselves sick, they don't have fun and feel miserable the next day. Yet, they are willing to do it all over again.
EVERYTHING should be enjoyed in moderate consumption. Alcohol drinks, like food, is considered an art and many of them are WORTH drinking. But people, if you eat to much you get food poisoning. The same logic applies to alcohol. Drink too much of it and you'll likely die.
I also hate how people make light of this. Its like they WANT to be drunk and annoying just to attract attention.
You can drink moderately and STILL have fun doing stuff like dancing, eating and talking to people. Why people want to drink themselves into a coma is beyond me...
On a similar topic, I was talking to a girl friend of mine about the same topic, and she said she finds it annoying how drunk men act, acting all friendly and such. She says that she has yet to see a woman be that obnoxious...
I'm sorry if I insult any of the girls here at UD but how can you claim superiority in ALCOHOL INTOXICATION? That's like saying "Which sex handles Cancer better"...
And I've been with drunk people, both male and female and women can be as obnoxious as men when drunk. In fact, I've seen my share of crazy women who scream and shriek like they had seen a ghost or women who suddenly get all clingy and loose.
Its stupid beyond all reason.

I'm back in OR for alil visit, I've been home for a while, I leave next Sun
It felt wonderful to be home for a while, got to see friends/family. Yesterday I saw my friend, Lindsey at T.B.C.C, she makes a mad dash at me, nearly knockin me over *chuckles* I was happy to see her. Then I visited my school, nearly everybody was surprised to see me back so early *snickers* but I told 'em I was back for alil while. While I'm home I mangaged to catch up on my vids (Amy hope you check out the DMV thread) I'm kinda nervous bout headin back to FL even though I have 4 months left in the D.C.Program.

Our car was confiscated today by the Hyundai company

They say we've missed two payments, yet my Dad's paid up until Sept. and has arranged with the Finance Manager to have Oct. taken care of. YET somehow the idiots who work there messed up and are now saying we didn't pay. Of course my Grandma and cousin had the car downtown tonight to pick up some last minute things for Thanksgiving dinner and when they came out the people were hooking the car up to be taken away. The lady there told my Grandma she can hand over the keys or it will be taken away without them, either way it's going. Of course all of our stuff we keep in our car was in there as well.
All in all it's absolute crap and a real buzzkill. Just glad I wasn't there at the time or I would have definatley given them a large earful with a large string of colorful words on where they can put certain things up
