Sorry, i dont mean to sound rude Flanger-Hanger, but I actually said that (your new signature), but I was commenting on what Disney Duster said. But i'm glad you like my comment anyway, very flattering!

Also, The Little Mermaid III is getting its very own sountrack released (See either of TLM discussions), so Cinderella III might be given the same treatment as well! I sure hope so!

Well I guess I should change it. I don't want to be caught again saying something that I thought Disney Duster said but really didn't. Thanks for telling me that.

I think if Cinderella 3 were to get a soundtrack we would have heard about it alread, but mabey this Tuesday will change that.

Eh I don't think you guys are going to be too dissapointed with the lack of soundtrack. IMHO the songs in the movie were it's weakest point. It's not that they were bad, they just weren't more universal and catchy like the Disney greats. There was nothing too epic about them so I don't think you'll be missing out on that much.

To me the only song that I would be interested in having on a cd or something would be the "I Still Believe" song because the full version that plays over the credits is really beautiful.

Also there was some talk several pages back about why Anastatia instead of Drizella as far as getting to be the Price's bride, I think after you see the film you'll understand. She actually has a big part in the movie and what we first saw come together in Cinderella II starts to make sense, she's not as bad as you think she is, she just wants to fall in love and have her own fairy tale ending like her stepsister.

There is a very touching scene that she shares with the King that really made me love her and feel for the character. Drizella on the other hand is mostly there for comic relief, she takes more after her mother and isn't nearly as kind.

A thing that got me confused in the film: (I've put it in white just in case, but I don't think it's a spoiler)

Anastasia sings in this film, and she sings beautifully. It's been a while since I saw the original film, but weren't both Anastasia and Drizella horrible singers? Remember "Oh Sing Sweet Nightingale"? It also felt pretty weird hearing that great voice coming out of a horrible character (at the time she's singing the first time she didn't have my sympathy yet).

Oh well...

I have an answer to your possible spoiler comment/question.

Perhaps Lady Tremaine aka the Evil Stepmother used a bit of the Fairy Godmother's Magic wand to make Anastasia sing better??

Well, I'm willing to say that I may like the songs, as I loved the one Cinderella sand in the 8 minute preview, when many otheres didnt. Oh well! Only time will tell!

I was just watching the preview clips again, and in the one with the spell, the music in that is wonderful. I hope they realease a score, even if the songs arent that good. The way that the ticking of the clock is intergrated with the music is deeply haunting, and when it is show with the images of Cinderella's world being litterlly ripped apart------it really is something to behold!

Thanks for all the info...only about a week to go.

If you folks want to see the opposite side of the animation coin;

http://www.worstpreviews.com/trailer.php?id=671&item=0

is an example of the current "standard" for "Adult Swim" (that movie comes out in Feburary), and is a preview for the Feature of the most popular animated show in America today. Feature's out in March.

Anyone that feels C-III has animation problems will see it's light years ahead of this "dog".

The trailer is rated for all ages.

To be in on the comments above about Anastatia...

Honestly the way she sings was flawed, there were several times she had pitch problems and I just looked at that as a way to say that she's still not a good singer.

I watched Cindy I today, and we all know that Anastasia is the better sister in both II and now III. But from watching that movie, I still can't see it, you know? They are both so totally horrid! Especially in the dress - ruining scene. That scene always makes me cry. I was shouting at the TV "No! You can't become good in II and III! You are just too MEAN!"

But, I shall have to see! :P

That is because they are promo pics. Therefore barely have to relate to the film it's self.

got my copy from a retailer friend today. just finished watching the movie. better than cII but still not a worthy successor to the original. the storyline is good but it cheapens the exclusivity value of the first movie. it was enjoyable tho as an adventure...

2.5/5

Thanks Old Fish Tale!
It's unbelievable how energetic Cinderella turns out to be. This must be the best scene from CIII.

It's one of the things that strikes me as odd about the direction the Cinderella franchise (if you'll forgive me for calling it that) is going. I mean, it doesn't really surprise me that Disney should choose to go a little easier on the stepsisters from now on. People, nowadays at least, do tend to have some sympathy for these characters, and I don't just mean in the Disney version, but the entire fairy tale in general. That they're usually referred to as the ugly stepsisters, as though their appearence should be considered the worst thing about them, irks an awful lot of people. You're given the impression that, unlike Cinderella, those poor girls never had a chance in the first place. But I find it strange that Anastasia has suddenly been singled out as the lesser of two evils, at Drizella's expense. I haven't seen the original in a while, but I seem to remember both sisters being equally terrible.

On a shallow note, it was probably because she had the prettier name and red hair ala Arial.

That's about as far as I can rationalize it.

I apologize for the randomness of this observation but...

I have seen Cinderella and Cinderella II and the 8 minute preview for Cinderella III many times and it seems like the Prince has either gotten baggy clothes, worked out, or gained some weight in Cinderella III as compared to Cinderella II and the original. Lol, I don't know why I noticed these things. I'm sure it's because of the different artists, but why do they seem to do this? In Mulan II, Mulan's face is a lot bigger at times in the movie. I wonder if this is on purpose or by accident.

Again, I apologize for the randomness of this post.

Another thing...I had a bit of a dilemma the other day when I went to a local video game/DVD store while my parents were getting chinese take-out next door. It was January 27th and not February 6th and I was standing in this store with a slipcovered copy of Cinderella III in my hands! There it was in a plastic security case and it had all the stickers and everything. I could've easily bought Cinderella III right then and there at a much earlier date than expected!!!
BUT...
The price was $24.95 and I'm so stingy with money that I reasoned in my head that I shouldn't pay the extra $5-10 just to get the DVD early (as opposed to ordering online or buying at Target/wal-mart). Also, I felt it would be odd and some what illegal if I bought the DVD before the official release day (especially since it was so much earlier).
Given the situation, what would you guys have done? I mean I really really really can't wait for this movie and I watch the preview all the time, but I felt so wrong (and $$ stubborn) to get it this early.

Now if it was the Secrets...Disneyland DVD, then of course I would've bought it right then and there!
