They are nice and all, it's just the space issue. The worst packaging though was Green Acres: Season 2.

Hi,
I'd be very pleased if someone could anwer the following question: which versions of the episodes are used in this release? The original version or the one from the reruns on ToonDisney? I believe the titles of episodes and the buena vista logo are different in these versions. This is not very important now  but I'm hoping for the release of the next episodes and some of them were censored in the Toon Disney reruns.

I am glad Ducktales is on DVD, but Disney honestly did the crappiest job with the menus! Even those $1.00 DVDs at Wal-Mart have better menus. For one they are just screen shots enlarged and are all static. Also on the first disk for the episodes Send in the Clones the S is chopped off!! It says "end in the clones" Also to get to each episodes there is just a green circle the goes over the picture. Jeez..my bootleg DVD has beeter menus! lol

I haven't bought it yet but I will Saturday. I've seen the screenshots and the menus don't look horrible. Sure they may be still images but I like the images the chose and I've seen worse menus that were just so blah.

Usually I have concerns about packaging but this time I'm more upset about the lack of any bonus features at all. DuckTales deserves better.

Bought them at Best Buy today, but was charged $31.99 for each. Maybe they don't have the $24.99 price in their databases in stores. However, I just checked their website, and it says they'll refund the difference if there's a lower price listed on bestbuy.com, so I'm going back tomorrow to get my 12 bucks back. If anyone else is getting them at Best Buy, make sure to mention that the online price is $24.99 in case they're charging you $31.99.

I went to Frys to see if they have any good deals on these, but as usual, Fry's disappointed me yet agoin, so I went to Wal-Mart. They only had Chip/Dale!! They didnt have DuckTales!!!! So my mom said that she was tired so we went home and she wont let me go anywhere else to get DuckTales. Im sad..... but ill get it friday. I am disappointed that DIsney didnt try on these releases. They needed attention to detail. The picture is not that great, and the menus are horrid. I love that they packaged these in think packs, but since they are see through they should have put something on the back of the covers so you can see it when you open them. (Like That 70s Show) I am also PISSED that there are NO inserts! THEY NEEDs TO BE INSERTS! And no promotional materials! Why not a "Tv-on-DVD Guide" or some coupons! COME ON! And I NEED Inserts!!! Even a one page episode selection would have been nice! NOTHING! ATTENTION TO DETAIL!

I just checked. The reason it didn't show up for me at first was because I viewed it on my wide screen HDTV. It was just too wide so part was cut off. Well there is one thing to scratch off. Even though the quality it horid I don't mind, as long as they contine with that low price and frequent releases. Anyone know how much money the two sets have made?

I don't know if this has been posted or not, but DVDToons also has a review of Ducktales. I figure it's worth a read.

Oh, and I have Chip 'n Dale, and I haven't watched ay episodes yet, but I've watched the theme song about 100 times. I forgot how catchy that thing was. Sooooooo much nostalgia!

Must post some appreciation for these DVDs, recieved mine from Amazon.com the other day (had to pay £10.20 customs charge but come on! It was well worth it).

These really were the cartoons of my childhood and I don't care about the lack of extras or restoration, one of the things I love about them is the fact that they are just as I watched them, and the 'play all' function means I have been going to sleep watching the DVDs every night.

Can't wait for the announcement of the next volumes...wonder when it will be though!?

That's what I LOVE about them. Ive been emailing Disney for years telling them to switch to the think packs for the 30 min shows. I love the think packs. For Tv-on-DVD, packaging is a HUGE factor for me. If its not packaged nicely I get sooo PO'd!
This whole time I thought we we're talking about standard keepcases, I should read better next time.

I was so happy to get my Rescue Rangers DVD for christmas. I loved that show growing up and Chip N Dale are some of my fav characters. While watching, however I noticed something weird...see if this rings a bell with anyone else who is a big fan of the series from way back and who has the DVD set.

In the episode "A Lad in a Lamp", near the end, just after he grants Mole's wish, he then moves on to Mepps. Is it me, or was there a small segment cut where MJack hits Mepps on the head with something to get him woozy? I seem to remember seeing this part during it's run on the Disney Afternoon, however it is missing on the DVD.

Does this seem familiar to anyone else?
