Avoid buying CDs at Wal-Mart. They are known to be edited without having any stickers on them that say so.
I buy all my music from Best Buy
or download it on Limewire...hehe...shhhh...

My Wal-Mart still has a SMALL section of VHS. I won't be sad to see it go. I do still own many VHS tapes and several VCRs, but I don't buy any more VHS tapes.

I still have VHS tapes but I haven't bought any VHS movies since we bought the combo. I now have more DVDs than VHS. I need my VHS for home video.

Look at the white sticker at the top of the jewel case that has the artist name and album title, it will say if it's edited. Or if you know that the album has the Parental Advisory label and you cannot see it on the cover, you can be sure that's the edited version.

I find it ridiculous that Wal Mart will sell R-rated movies and M-rated video games, yet they refuse to sell CD's with explicit content.

I don't mind if stores stop carrying videos, but I still want VCR's to hang around. I have many movies on VHS that I do not have DVD.

I went to get a Pink CD once and all they had was editted. I called the manager over and had the edited Pink CD in one hand, the R rated House of a 1000 Corpses in another and was standing by the glass cases of video games and I asked him, "You mean to tell me, that Wal-Marts around the USA will sell Grand Theft Auto, a mature rated game full of crime and violence and an R rated movie full of gore and violence, but they won't sell a CD that says the F word a couple of times? Exactly where is the common sense in all that?"
He tells me, "Well, we don't allow anyone under 18 to buy the mature rated games and R rated movies..."
"And the same can't be done for CDs with explicit lyrics?"
Of course I got the whole speil about how it's up to corporate, blah blah, which I realize, but I just wanted him to at least know that it made NO sense. So fine, I'll go to Daytona to get my CDs. They can keep their editted stuff that collects dust

Siren - One of my friends works at Wal-Mart and she made the exact same point with her managers.

So yeah, they can keep their edited CD's, I'll shop elsewhere.

So much for Wal Mart's $5.50 VHS and DVD bin....

well, we all knew this would happen sooner or later.
I haven´t use my VCR since 2004 or october 2003--I can't remember-- and in here, you can find a lot of VHS from 1 buck to 3 as the most expensive.
