Here in FW, a normal showing is $7.50 and a matinee is $5.50 not to shabby compared to some of the 10.00 prices on this thread.

Well, just having popcorn every time you go to the movies is not gonna kill you (unless you go every night), it's your overall diet that counts.
And the popcorn itself is fine, it's all the butter-flavored oil they put on it that's so bad for you. Anyway, you can have all the air-popped popcorn you want when you watch movies at home if you're careful about what you add to it.

Yeah candy is expensive at our theater which, is the main reason why I sneek in my own candy. They can't search your bag so it's fair play. It kinda makes me feel guilty though seeing how the theaters make most of there money out of there consessions but meh.

$1,000,000
No, actually I don't know but I do know that Euros are slightly more valuable than a dollar so... it's probably around $8.00. Maybe a little more.

I think the cost of going to see a movie these days is horendous. You might as well buy a dvd and sit and watch it at home on your home theatre. And it costs so much just for a small drink or popcorn. And you can just forget about treats they are way over priced.

How much are the snacks? I haven't been in a movie theater (theatre?) in years. I don't know which spelling of theatre to use. Sorry!
I think a small cup of Coke cost $1.25 USD a few years ago.

theres a "dollar cinema" in montreal. everything from snacks to admission is a dollar. it's surprisingly not that sleazy and the movie selection is usually pretty good. I think theres 5 screens and they generall play movies from the past 6 months to a year with some exceptions on older films but generally of the past 10 years. Sometimes if Im in the area and have 30-40 minutes to kill, Ill walk in with a friend and catch part of a movie and than walk out for a dollar. Not bad considering Id pay more for meter parking downtown...

Wow, it looks like the price of soda went up.

I haven't been to a dollar theatre. I will try to find one in my neighbourhood.
