I wish I could get my hands on Peter Pan as well. However, I think it has been OOP for a while.
I think it went into the vault in 2002 or 2003 so it has been OOP for at least 2 years. I remember I got it at Sam's Club as soon as it was released on DVD when Return to Neverland premiered in theaters. I'm so glad I got it because besides seeing it at an FYE in Florida a few summers ago, I never saw it at stores again. Hopefully the Disney Soda Fountain store will have it and Fantasia.

Well, I went tonight for my birthday. First off, the place itself is really nice. It has a doorman, the castmembers (I guess you would call them that) were super cool, and the ice cream was killer. It's a great place and a great atmosphere. Now the bad news.... the dvd selection isn't very good. If it's in the vault, then it's in the vault. They don't have any of the older stuff. I wanted to get Peter Pan, no dice. No Fantasia, no Lion King, no Beauty and the Beast. They pretty much have the titles that you would still find (if you're lucky) in stores. Aladdin, Dumbo, Alice, etc... So don't get your hopes up on finding Pinocchio or Lady and the Tramp for $19.99 there, they don't have it.

But, if you want to treat yourself and have some killer ice cream from an old timey soda fountain, it doesn't get much better that this! :D

The info you gave about the dvds is disappointing to hear. But thanks for letting everybody know.

And Happy Belated Birthday Captain EO. 8)

Thanks everyone!!! I had a blast there last night, and I can't recommend it enough to go and check out. The atmosphere is just so nice and the cast members are awesome. Yeah, it was disappointing about the dvds.. I forgot to say they had a digital movie finder there as well that lets you order movies, kinda like the set up to order prints at the Disney Gallery in Disneyland. The only one I looked for was Peter Pan and they didn't have it. There's a *chance* they have movies on that that weren't in stock, but I wouldn't count on it, especially for the old stuff like Jungle Book and Pinocchio....

Captain EO - surely you can find PETER PAN on eBay? Or Amazon.com?

Peter Pan is currently OOP. You can find it on ebay but it is going to cost you and you have no way to know for sure if it is authentic.

i remember reading about it a while ago on the home page and i was wondering if anyone of you have actually been to it? it looks like a Disney DVD Collector's dream! is it really worth going to though? i'm going out that direction to go to Disneyland next week, and my mom and i were talkin about goin it, so i thought i'd ask if it'd be worth my time!

Not really. The selection seems slightly more expansive than a Disney section at Best Buy, but it's only in-print titles and they didn't even have plenty of lesser-known but available Disney DVDs. If you're planning to spend a day in Hollywood, it's right across the street from Grauman's Chinese Theater and worth a stop, particularly if you're craving a pricy, but satisfying sundae from stilted waiters. But it doesn't hold a candle to say, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redir ... zon.com</a>, when it comes to buying Disney DVDs.

I'll second that! Oh man i wish i lived in California for so many reasons! Too bad i'm on the opposite coast and in a different country
This store would be like heaven for me! I want to go to Hollywood SO bad now! Atleast we can order over the net :D
This is awesome! (now bookmarking site in favourites...) :P

I wonder if they'll sell the Limited Edition titles like TLM, Jungle Book, Dalmatians etc.

 THEORY: They probably are selling their OOP titles because they're loosing so much money to bootlegs online at eBay and such...

hmmmm well that's kinda a dissapoinment, but then again i wasn't expecting to find an amazing deal on very rare DVD's either... i was just kinda wanting to find some OOP "cheapquels" because i bewilder myself when i say it, but they are a kind of guilty pleasure, hehe.

i think i'm gonna stop by it anyways, just to check it out! who knows, maybe i'll also find something interesting to spend money on... i always do! :D

Well... according to Luke's post right above yours... they aren't selling any of these. I knew this place was too good to be true! Are their prices on in print DVDs at least reasonable? Or are they just MSRP or higher (like DMC)?

Has anyone here been to the new Studio Store at the El Capitain Theater? I've heard rumor that it sells dvd's that were retired to the vault, and am curious to learn if that is true.

I wish the online store can open now!

And how much do you think the beauty and the beast DVD will cost?

I've merged your thread with an existing topic which answers your question.

As you were able to track this down, I'd assume you were able to figure this out, but I'd say that <i>Beauty and the Beast</i> will cost absolutely nothing from the Disney Studio Store. (They don't have it.)

Thats stupid. For a moment, I thought they had in-print stuff. Sorry, I didn't read your post carefully.
